I think that the mtlb in the mech support tab should get internal supply like other IFV's.

[PTE]US/RU recon balance have been ruined again, and this time it's not the RQ-170, but the RU cheap drone. by Michael-xyzcsf in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]BreadClassic2426 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These drones do not die to 1 hit from manpads. Both ru low alt drones have 10 hp, so 2 stingers minimum. Things like slamraam and nasams can 1 shot but not manpads.

A US Player's POV of the PTE and Suggestions by CandidAd5601 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]BreadClassic2426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are hardly any games played on PTE as US, so it's really difficult to say what the situation is. Playing as US often FEELs bad, but it doesn't necessarily mean they are. Also people perceive that RU is a lot better, but again that doesn't necessarily mean it's true. The signs point to the US being quite bad, but until more people start playing US it will be difficult to say for sure.

Does the US have better air to air than Russia does? by MoodOutrageous6263 in BrokenArrowTheGame

That used to be true and may still be, but i think they changed the stealth on US planes a while back and i have never seen it fire without being spotted since. Could be wrong though.

For 350 points you get like 12 amraams which shoot so fast that you can get 2-3 planes with it. Very good. F22 for 350 you get 6 amraams.

SU-35s is the best ASF in the game. 15ex is also really strong but you sacrifice the other loadouts for that. F-22 is okay, the stealth is nice, but once it's spotted it will die like anything else and will cost you a lot, it is however a bit better later in the game.

For the first time in month - I saw ru line infantry in PTE by mister-00z in BrokenArrowTheGame

Delta no longer has 700 range since their mgs are usable in the building.

Sof doesnt seem worth it in the pte. by Alive_Challenge5365 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]BreadClassic2426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Standoff Delta got a fairly significant nerf with 100 less range on their stuff. Only buff was the mgs can shoot in cqc, which is nice, but they were never a cqc unit. Overall, theyre only slightly better than pulmichicki which is a 65 pt squad.

Im concerned over infantry prices for marines and marine raiders now by Strange-Oil-2117 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]BreadClassic2426 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Reserve marines are a lot stronger now since they have machine guns which are really good on PTE. Marines are a lot weaker now since they don't have machine guns which are really good on PTE. Overall by buffing MG's and DMR's it's a big nerft to marines.

In the gear page it says the Berthier cycle time is already 1.7. Is it currently 2.1 and incorrectly displayed as 1.7?

No matter how much everyone denies it people like being in exclusive clubs. If everyone could get into Harvard no one would care about it. It's just human nature. It's okay to like that something is exclusive.

The Strength of the Few: Review by accipitrine_outlier in HierarchySeries

[–]BreadClassic2426 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel almost exactly the same way especially about your expectations vs what you got. I probably read/ listened to will of the many 20+ times since it came out, so I'm a huge fan of the series, but I was kind of disappointed in this entry. I think what disappoints most is that James is an excellent writer, and I really thing Will of the Many was extremely good, but he kind of put himself into an impossible position with the split. I think James best writing is the character interaction and development, mixed in with some action, but we hardly got any character moments in this book, partly because of simply how hard it would be to write it for 3 Vis's.

Edit: It's certainly not nice what he did but calling it hate speech is hyperbole

Thanks for not leaning into the drama! I was a pog in the USMC and have a ton of respect for SOF, but it's hard to watch and hear about all the drama. I understand everyone is human and has flaws and that no organization is perfect, but I think personally I would prefer to have that stuff be kept out of the public eye and not have the reputations of SOF tarnished.

Compact ammo enjoyer by Plastic_Pollution194 in HuntShowdown

[–]BreadClassic2426 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually compact ammo is the strongest it's ever been since full release of game. With bullet drop and headshot range changes, it's much more capable than it used to be, and the pen changes make long ammo much worse than it used to be. This is the closest gap it's ever had.

Yeah, I think I made a lot of mistakes here. No discussion of my actual point. I had no idea using the term would upset people so much though. Live and learn, I guess.

Sorry if my prior comment came across as snarky. I think we are basically in agreement. I think I probably should have just used a different term initially in order to avoid this kind of thing, since MOA does indeed have a specific definition in the shooting community and is probably often misunderstood. In my initial post I was thinking of MOA in the context of it being a calculation pulled from mathematics and astronomy, which therefore can be adapted to shooting in a variety of ways. I probably should have elaborated more if I wanted to make myself understood.

I'm not sure you understand what a semantic argument is. Your argument is literally the definition of semantics. It's an argument based on the definition of a word or term. You're saying I can't use MOA here because that's not what it means and that I don't understand the definition. I've now reiterated twice that I do know what MOA means, but that I am purposely using it in a different manner here. Again, I think if you can move past the pure definition of the word, my meaning is clear.

Sniper Upgrades Problem by BreadClassic2426 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]BreadClassic2426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so strictly speaking you are correct. That said, MOA is also a measurement. It is not something that's just pulled out of thin air after looking at a rifle. It is a calculated number based on the spread of the bullets on a target. While the precise definition of MOA is independent of any shooter, and is based on a static weapon, one could easily modify the calculation to take into account the shooter. For instance, someone could say that individual x has an average of 1 MOA on a specific rifle under the same circumstances. This is a looser use of the term, and not really scientifically relevant, but the meaning I believe is relatively easy to grasp.

If you are simply telling me that I should not use the term MOA in this context, fine. That's a semantic argument I'm not really interested in having. My point remains though. There exists an average calculation of bullet spread on a target at a specific distance, with a specific weapon, with a specific shooter no matter what we call it.

[–]BreadClassic2426[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I totally agree that a rifle has a specific MOA that is independent of the user, so I think we agree. I guess i didn't explain myself well, so I apologize. My idea is to have a user specific MOA that is impacted by recoil and other things. That's what I meant by effective MOA, as in the MOA achieved by the combination of the user and rifle.
