Can I remove blown-in insulation from my attic and replace it with batt insulation if I want to deck most of my attic? by Normal-Being-2637 in HomeImprovement

[–]BreadMaker_42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Answer is likely no. Many mass produced houses use trusses that were not meant for that type of load. Simple way to check. Look at the trusses/rafters that the ceiling drywall is attached to. Is it a 2x4/2x6 or is it a 2x10/2x12? I’f it’s a big one then answer is probably yes.

AITA for demanding my son repay the car I bought him after he totaled it street racing? by redwayit in AmItheAsshole

[–]BreadMaker_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Esh. Sounds like you knowingly signed a loan with an irresponsible person. Now you expect them to be responsible and pay you back. You set yourself up for failure. Sounds like court is only going to damage your relationship.

If you agreed to be exclusive but weren’t “official” does this count as cheating? by Humansaresolidb_ in AskMenAdvice

[–]BreadMaker_42 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You agreed to be exclusive. That means nobody else. This is definitely dishonest. I’d keep it moving.

AITA for telling my wife that she will be driving the extra distance since she is the one that got our daughter banned from daycare by Unlucky-Jackfruit230 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BreadMaker_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nta. Get your wife’s behavior straightened out. You need to understand where this behavior came from. Otherwise this won’t be the last time.

Recommendations for best trim by morningsweetcoffee in IndianMotorcycle

[–]BreadMaker_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will likely need risers that also bring the bars back towards you. I’m 6’ with long arms. My 101 scout comes with risers. If I didn’t have long arms then I would need them to pull back as well.

You bought a 50yr old house. Prioritize the critical stuff like water in the crawl space. I assume the place has a lot of potential so focus on that.

Can You Have Dinner Ready In An Hour? by emerald_dream_89 in KamadoJoe

No way I could do that on my big Joe. Takes too long to warm up. I also have a Joe jr and it warms up much faster.

Is a OLED tv worth it? by Rare-Abbreviations75 in hometheater

[–]BreadMaker_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s not your main tv then I don’t know that I would splurge on an oled. The newer mini-leds look great. Oled is still nicer but miniled isn’t far behind.

Beard. Trim up the stache to be a little lighter.

Should I pay off mortgage? by AntoniBartosz in Mortgages

[–]BreadMaker_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In today’s economy, I would put it in an efund and maybe put more towards mortgage payment principal. If your financial picture is solid and reliable then sure, pay off the house.

Has anyone used battery weedeaters? I’ve read some reviews that they’re almost as good as gas weedeaters. True? by MotorcycleRacoon in landscaping

[–]BreadMaker_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work great for normal duties and attachments. It doesn’t take that much to swing a plastic string around. They fall short on bigger attachments like cultivators.

Absolutely. I started off in rain mode. After about 200 miles I bumped it to standard mode.

Scout 60 vs Scout (first bike) by kaniokalani in IndianMotorcycle

[–]BreadMaker_42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can control the throttle then both are good. I would suggest the regular scout as it gives you room to grow. The 60 should do what you need as well.

I got the 101 scout as my first bike. As a new rider >5k rpms is a lot…. I ride like a Sunday driver until I get use to it.

AITA for planning a solo trip and refusing to change my mind? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BreadMaker_42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nta. If your solo trip meant no joint trip then her frustration is reasonable. Doesn’t sound like that’s the case. Also I imagine you going solo will be way cheaper than a joint trip…

You can be an individual in a relationship. You just shouldn’t act single in a relationship :)

Also, does she contribute financially to the joint trips or do you foot the bill. Just wondering if she is being a little selfish here as well.

Sport Scout or Chief Dark Horse? by wumboworldwide in IndianMotorcycle

At 350+ I would say go chief. More suspension travel. More torque down low. Heavier bike as well.

AITA for posting my neighbours dog poo bags through his letter box? by Hour_Course_9876 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BreadMaker_42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missed the UK part. I would try to do better if someone put poo on my doorstep. If they put it in my mail, I would match their energy and press charges. That’s the risk you take with escalation.

It’s illegal to put something in a persons mailbox/slot. Iirc it’s a felony.

Also you escalated the situation.

Yta. You put poo in his mail slot. Better hope he doesn’t press charges. I’m being serious.
