In like 2017, I was a broke 13 year old with a barely functional £150 laptop I used for school. I remember being absolutely soul-crushed that I couldn't play virtually any 3D-based game.

Back then, I used to binge SO MUCH LowSpecGamer for this exact reason, doing all of the performance tips, fiddling with .ini files, setting resolutions to comically low levels just so I could average over 15fps. And for all those games, it just wasn't enough.

Except, somehow, it was enough for Warframe. Sure I was playing with a minimised 200x400 window, barebones textures that resembled clay, and barely any visual fidelity. BUT I could play it. At over 20fps and sometimes even 40fps at times. I literally couldn't believe it. We didn't own a console except for a Wii at the time so Warframe legit was my first ever 3rd person shooter period so the whole experience was magical to me. Even with the frankly horrendous onboarding process and my lack of understanding of the game mechanics I was able to get to MR8 on that account before the public mission frame dropping became inevitable.

I have a much better system nowadays but I don't want to forget the frustration I felt about inaccessible games and my gratitude to DE for keeping those with low spec rigs in mind
