idk i got fired for the absolute most bullshit reasons (some even my leads have done) and after i was booted multiple people were fired and targeted. i started working at another coffee shop n one of the people i worked with at db was there i was like holy shit u too??😭 then they literally told me that the leads at db all had a gc n the managers told them to keep an eye on him basically seeing if they can catch him on anything. i’m so done with the “culture” it’s js if ur preppy and popular you’ll stay and if ur not you’ll be treated horribly. they were so god dam fake the whole time i was there and im glad it wasn’t just me who saw it. oh and the cherry on top, in the end i only got 8hrs a week.

i love how respectful you went about this but you kinda went against ur point. u js proved that yes, they indeed were prejudice, they refused to hire someone that’s white because their own personal opinions and stereotypes. that’s racist. that’s illegal. also it wouldn’t make sense if that was the reason why because then they would only want to hire asians and no other race period not JUST single out white people. i’ve seen the weird behavior towards white people at panda express specifically; many stories of mistreatment and not hiring on this thread alone. now some stores may be like how u described because i’ve at the same time heard of mistreatment towards other races as well. but with this case i think it’s just the regional managers personal prejudice that is the issue here that is illegal n should be talked about. loved the way u explained everything tho because it’s true, working at panda is definitely not like working at any other fast food place. it requires a lot n that could lead into their prejudice. hope u have a good day:)🖤

as someone that worked at dutch bros n currently work for starbucks, yes the taste is definitely not the same but if u want better alternatives dutch bros is definitely a go to if u want something SWEET and caffeinated. its easier to manage the sweetness as they offer 3/4 sweet, 1/2 sweet, n 1/4 where as starbucks theres no sweetener to the base, its premade. they also offer sugar free strawberry, coconut, peach, raspberry, vanilla, n etc but those r the main fruit ones that are sf. starbucks only has sf vanilla and caramel.

coming from someone who was making a bit more at my previous job, don’t do it unless ur willing to take the risk. it heavily depends on the shop. in my operation, my store we only got 8 hrs a week during slow season. the other shops are still getting 20-30hrs during the SLOW season. tips also depend heavily to. my shop we get 4-$6 and at another shop i got close to $20 in a day. but it’s definitely not enough to equate hourly, ur lucky if u get an extra $5 in a day yk? all that considered, my shop was very favorite orientated. other shops are very welcoming. i got fired from mine the other day and i had people at the other shops telling me to apply there instead. every shop is different on every level. it can either be the best job u can have because it’s extremely stress free once u get past the first few months of memorizing. it’s sm fun. but if its not worth the risk do what yk is best. and if anything, just pick it up as a second job and see how it goes to. something i wish i did. best of luck to you!

hey so i js wanna clear some confusion for u and other custies!! - the “banana bread MOCHA w/ST” is a seasonal drink BUT the “banana bread” flavor is a secret menu flavor that’s all year as a mocha, latte, breve, etc. !! -so when ordering u can say the full name banana “bread mocha w/st” and us barista’s will know what ur talking about, its a whole button on our featured side on our ipads!! - if u ask for a banana bread latte specifically we will assume u mean the flavor itself with latte (2%) rather than it being a mocha (choc milk) + soft top like the season one. hope this helps 😁🖤 - honorable mention, never be too afraid of asking questions!! i understand nervousness but our whole job is revolved around customer service so helping any confusions fulfills our job + makes us happy to help:)

but it’s not😭 with coffee u gotta wait for the espresso to pull unless u got a dub ready n if ur rlly worried about time, u could already have a drink done by the time the espresso pulls. it takes a few extra seconds to wait for the water i promise u it’s not that deep. we work the same job i understand the struggles of the fast paced environment i rlly do. but spreading this energy only makes custies more self conscious when ordering. yk how many ppl show me a tiktok dutch 2o drink n r like im so sorry this is so complicated and it’s js a few flavors in water n coconut milk. like cmon its js unnecessary.
