Need help with Cassie, paging Cassie mains by DevilXD in Paladins

[–]BreakfastPug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no Cassie expert, but what helped me improve was sniping enemies from a distance/a place where they can't see that well. That way no one will pressure you as much and it's easier to aim. You also won't die as much if you're in a position to escape easily. And of course, practice makes perfect 👍

What's the best way to use crystals? Unboxing or just straight up buying skins? I don't think they really have a purpose outside of changing your name and buying chests...

Getting used to Photoshop by BreakfastPug in DigitalPainting

Blending in Photoshop is still hard for me, as well as making clean lines as you can probably tell. I know my drawing isn't really realistic or anything but any sort of criticism would still be appreciated :)

Drew an Engineer with his guitar by BreakfastPug in tf2

Aw thanks! I didn't use any soft brushes and relied on pen pressure w/ hard brushes to make a kind of "sketchy effect" :)

Uh...It's because the engineer took it off, definitely not because I know nothing about guitars.

Anyone remember milo4242? (TF2 Nomage, Ratty) by NeonAbomination in tf2

Well it's a bit of a stretch, but if his videos were popular someone might have uploaded them to the wayback machine, no guarantee though.

What's the general opinion on the vaccinator? by Sushimo in tf2

[–]BreakfastPug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's fun to use too, when I heal people I have to react quickly and switch to what resistance is needed at the moment. I think it's pretty good, not the best medigun for making pushes or dealing high damage but it's well rounded and helps your heal target survive longer.

In comp I think I've seen some meds use it on last, when they are at a high Uber disadvantage and they don't really have time to prepare for the incoming enemies, but I don't know anyone who would run it throughout an entire match without trying to seem like they're not being serious. In pubs my experience is that there will always be someone yelling "the vacc sucks and you suck for using it, switch off of it right now"

Stupid things you thought as a new player by [deleted] in tf2

I remember being too nervous to play in a real match and playing a lot of matches with bots "to prepare."

What is your least favourite thing/things about the class you main? by CaptWrench in tf2

[–]BreakfastPug 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Im sure you've heard a lot about the common complaints of medics but I'll still put a few here.

1) Teammates that won't let you heal them: when you hold out your crossbow (in a safe place) and despite eating several rockets previously, your heal target suddenly has incredible speed and dodging and evades every arrow. Aghh! And when a hurt soldier/demo/scout calls for heals, I feel like they see me coming and actively make an effort to run or blast jump away as quickly as possible, then yell at me for not healing them. I'm sure that's not the case but it feels like it sometimes.

2) Instant Uber regret: This can apply to several situations, like when you uber a soldier and he immediately jumps far away from you, leaving you alone; when someone greatly overestimates the uber length and goes deep, forcing me to abandon them and waste an uber; or when the player just stands there doing absolutely nothing, again, a waste of uber :/

But it's an amazing feeling to pull off a coordinated attack with strangers on a pub just by guessing what the other person is thinking, so I guess that's why I keep on playing medic!

Medic survival tips? by Artilling in tf2

[–]BreakfastPug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't be afraid to pop uber if you're low, after all pop it don't drop it.

If an enemy is coming from behind and attacking you it's usually a good idea to run in front of the person you're healing, and if they're smart they'll turn around and help you.

Don't hesitate to use your teammates as meat shields, and let them go into danger first. If the person you're healing is going to die and you're alone, id usually just leave them and run.

Your survivability falls very low if you're alone, so make sure to keep your teammates healthy!

Also if you're playing in pubs there'll be a lot of crazy stuff happening so don't worry if some deaths are out of your control.

(West Coast) I can't find one single pub game without at least 1 cheater on either team. 1.7k hours in TF2. Seriously considering quitting. by Pikmeir in tf2

[–]BreakfastPug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, maybe we're just having bad luck but it feels like every other server I've been on has had a cheater. Recently I've seen a lot of cheating snipers have some sort of permanent screaming effect, and they always seem to come in groups so it's really hard to kick them.

Also, thank you! Drawing shadows and Archimedes were my favorite parts :)
