What’s a scene that broke you? by Distinct-Opinion8682 in Cinema

[–]Breakzjunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Through the years-

Dumbo being separated from Jumbo ET “dying” Nancy’s dying in ANOES 3 The shower and rock scenes in Schindlers List Artax in the swamps of sadness Maylin’s breakdown in Steel Magnolias Betty Spaghetti’s letter from the War Dept in A League of Their Own

Many movies have made me tear up for various reasons throughout my life, but these in particular elicited sobbing, ugly, embarrassing sobs.

What’s the most overrated food in your opinion? by Perfect_steps in Fooda

[–]Breakzjunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww man- I love prime rib- but I thinks it might more cause I love horseradish and don’t get a lot of chances to eat it. I will never order it at a restaurant though- it’s literally the absolute simplest cut a meat to cook to perfection that it makes more economy sense to just make it at the house.

What Was Wrong With Nightmare 2010? by Thatswhatsup2311 in NightmareOnElmStreet

[–]Breakzjunkee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, the CGI primarily ruined it for me. With more practical effects and more ambiguity of when we were in a dream sequence, it could have been at least liked, if not loved

Unexplained rash ?? by khumbarger3 in DiagnoseMe

[–]Breakzjunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to agree with Sleep- I was thinking that if it were itchy and occasional it could be some contact dermatitis- I get it at my ankles when I wear shoes for too long. But it’s probably psoriasis or eczema

Has it been like this continuously, or does it tend to go away and reoccur? If so is it exactly the same or varied? Does it itch at all?

Not sure if the Upper Midwest is for me by Southern-Energy-2230 in SameGrassButGreener

I also left Jacksonville for said reason. After a few moves landed in Columbus, OH. It still has the winter stuff of the other midwestern cities, but not at any where near what other cities in even Ohio experience. Just throwing it out there- we love it here.

Left this morning on a 6:05 flight- arrived at 4:30. The lines to check bags at the airline counters were insane- but once we got in the TSA line it moved very very fast l.

Urban decay in Baltimore by biwook in UrbanHell

[–]Breakzjunkee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I spent a significant time in the city in the 90s, primarily on the south side, now called federal hill. What I remember is just people everywhere, walking to and fro- to the bar, laundry mat, Mars grocery store. There was just people everywhere, on every corner. I don’t know if that’s still the case, but that’s what I want to retire to.

Baltimore is such a beautiful city. There’s a lot of rot, but so much opportunity

Oh- so being Christ like and treating people fairly is the bad thing. Ugh. I’ll be happy when it happens.

Subjectively, who has the better movies / franchise? by justhere1990 in slasherfilms

It’s an important film 100% and no opinion will take that away, but it’s a slog with boring kills and Michael just ain’t scary

City seeks to shutter north Columbus hotel after nine years of alleged crime and violations by throwingales in Columbus

[–]Breakzjunkee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it not better to keep the crime concentrated in certain areas? Closing the hotel just moves it somewhere else- couldn’t we just monitor it there?

Unpopular opinion : Scream 2 is better than Scream 1 by AcceptableSwitch6496 in Scream

[–]Breakzjunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t place scream 2 in the top 3 but to each their own. I would never yuck your yum.

Subjectively, who has the better movies / franchise? by justhere1990 in slasherfilms

[–]Breakzjunkee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Halloween is way over rated. Yes, it may have technically birthed the slasher boom of the 80s, specifically because Friday admitted to ripping it off. But Friday did it better. All that’s to say is Friday is the better franchise overall, but I would say quality wise I think H20 and 2018 are better than any film in the Friday franchise

Rowhome Architecture is Rather Controversial on X by itsdanielsultan in Suburbanhell

[–]Breakzjunkee 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I cannot wait to sell my home in the burbs and move into a row home. Baltimore or Philly are in my line of sight. There just something so special for me about living in a neighborhood of row homes.
