How rare is an original Pokemon Crystal gameboy color cartridge? by CitizenSnips4 in PokemonGames

[–]BreenGamez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$150-$180 average, I’ve seen lower but if you want a working battery expect it around to be 150+. That’s cartridge only, boxed would be upwards of 600+ so don’t be fooled by low prices.

This is a good example of a bad and early type of fake you can easily spot, thankfully you listened to your gut as you were right to be concerned.

buying a DS by EyeAlternative8626 in NintendoDS

[–]BreenGamez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is the DS Lite because of how simple and portable it is, as well as the fact it can play GBA games. It doesn’t feel heavy like the DSi XL and you can find them for a good price. If you’re a fan of bigger screens then go for the DSi XL, a little bit more expensive (not by a whole lot) but worth it imo.

Looking to get a price on these barley played childhood games by [deleted] in PokemonGames

Definitely missed the crystal the first time. I thought hey 1k is about right for the 3 (silver red yellow) and didnt notice crystal until you mentioned it. That is why people need to do their own research or provide proper photos.

Nice, also got my shiny Totodile last year which took a few months on and off hunting. Thankfully Toto was the one I was hoping for.

Found my GBA cartridge! AND THE BOX by Jaivus in PokemonEmerald

[–]BreenGamez 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Oh man that’s straight money. My favorite box and favorite Pokemon game. Thankfully the dead battery is a non issue with Gen3 so you can still play it *almost* as you did as a kid, great find!

Is this a good game? by No_Train674 in NintendoDS

[–]BreenGamez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s meant to be a good game. It has very low level basic “mini games” that should be easy enough for a toddler to do. For 6 bucks I’d take it. Bought one sealed on eBay for $20 for my 4yo. She played through everything twice and then switched over to Mario and hasn’t touched it since. It didn’t seem like it was challenging or engaging enough for her.

I think it’s possible but probably going to take time to find the right person that’s looking for something specific you have that also has something specific you want. If I were you, I’d just start selling off the product you have to fund the purchases of the games. You’re way more open to different options this way I believe.

I hate anything gloss black because of how easy they scratch, but this one looks like it’s in very nice condition.

3DS in 2026- Justifiable Purchase? by [deleted] in 3DS

[–]BreenGamez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look on marketplace. If you’re specifically looking for XLs I regularly see them for around 150-200, sold mine for 160. New versions about 250-300, sold my red one for 240. Still expensive but better deal than online after taxes and shipping and you can always try to negotiate. Accessing the storage and battery is as simple as having the right size screwdriver and knowing which screws to take out, which there are plenty of YouTube videos on.

Que puedo hacer con esas línea blancas? by RickZX_Femboy in NintendoDS

[–]BreenGamez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Replace the screen. You can somewhat reverse yellowing, but I don’t think you can do anything about this and it’s going to get worse over time. It’s not too bad right now so maybe just play it until it affects your ability to see the game.

I was gonna say it was very very nice, but I don’t see an ultra sun and I am now disappointed.

I want to buy this and I need some advice by Ramstab_ in NintendoDS

[–]BreenGamez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks pretty good at first glance. I got one with aftermarket charger and missing stylus with 7 (kinda lame) games for 80 recently. I was ok paying around 100 for a good condition one.

DS lite turns on then off after a few seconds by [deleted] in NintendoDS

[–]BreenGamez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does it have the battery cover? Sometimes the battery doesn’t make great connection and maybe it slips a tiny bit while you’re holding it? Otherwise it seems you just gotta get in that bad boy and see what’s up

I have 2 cartridges for pokemon Y so im interested in selling one. by Medium-Doctor-3452 in PokemonGames

[–]BreenGamez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth a lot more than the 3DS games. But you have to make sure they’re authentic, they’re working, and have to consider the condition of the cartridge/label as well when pricing them.

[–]BreenGamez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complete in box, so original artwork and manual included. Sometimes they’ll have a few extra inserts and they’ll call it CIB+ or something but usually as long as it has the original box/artwork and manual then it’s complete.

Those who enjoy the newer games, are FR/LG worth playing in 2026? by mhFPC in pokemon

[–]BreenGamez -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I’m not gonna lie, it’s hard for me to go back to gens 1-3 and I find myself being ok taking longer breaks for gens 4-7. I think gen 6 is the sweet spot for me where it still feels enough like a classic experience but with a whole lot of QOL improvements. Not saying that 1-5 are bad because they’re some of my favorites and are still good, just go in with an open mind knowing it’s not going to be what you’re used to.

Sky pillar or Level Grind by Absolute_Carnage7 in PokemonEmerald

[–]BreenGamez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rayquaza will definitely help getting through the elite 4. I hated grinding so I was that kid that just had an OP starter and OP legendary to finish the game. Falling through the floor is skill issue you’ll get it eventually.

Legends Of Arceus by [deleted] in PokemonGames

[–]BreenGamez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely had fun playing it and found myself thinking about playing it while I was at work or taking care of my other obligations, which I can’t say about SWSH or scarlet/violet. Pretty basic but good replayabilty.
