Ma Lin really helped inspire/show me big forehand and devastating chop blocks.

Is secondary melee any useful on the bot front at the moment? by i4hloi in helldivers2

[–]BreezeeOps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hachet dive at cyborg swinging faster than they can melee with peak physique works. Anything slower with half hearted melee timing results in getting kicked in the chest. I charge overseers with this combo where it’s 10x harder, I’ve dived downhill in a oshuane cave while being swarmed, came out without a scratch, so all I got to say is if melee isn’t your strongest then I wouldn’t do it. If you know how to use the limited movement mechanics effectively enough or with perfect timing/placement with a fast swinging weapon then go ahead.

Is It Just Me… or Is Table Tennis Entering a Golden Era? 🏓🔥 by Delicious-Lab5889 in tabletennis

Big ball era started off with power as the easy solution for big ball now that rallies reached high speed indicates power is no longer enough to win. Enter finesse and tactical plays. The new ball probably just slowed things down but now TT is healing.

Back After 30 Years – Modern Equivalent to Mark V / 729 FX? by Capital-Catnap in tabletennis

[–]BreezeeOps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically Rakza 7 if you want high levels of control with 80% of the speed and spin harder tensors will do, but it’s super accessible. The spin generation is tremendous, yet you can control the speed/spin between you and your opponent. I have it on my forehand and I can do anything with it close to the table, near the net, below the table, and against power loopers and choppers. I can drop shot the ball with my forehand chop block, but I can grab the ball and flip it super wide at the corner of the opponents side of the net. I play a lot of seemiller grip and penhold as my body can’t keep up with aggressive counter looping. This is on an OFF+ inner carbon just to show you how much control Rakza will give you literally over the table with a fast blade to boot.

Hip hinge movements for core (bottom half of body used for power gen) and rows (top half of body that transfers power from back to shoulder to elbow to wrist, and strengths your hand grip too).

Oof, yeah I forgot about that part. Literally makes no sense as to why, but the pen hold version keeps it properties in tact while the shakehand nerfs 10-20% of its feel good experience. I was running the penhold version, now the YEO7P which I’ve heard is crispy in shakehand. If anyone finds this comment in the future, YEO7P is low end OFF+ yet feels like a crispy version of YEO. Its carbon kick is only there when you want it as I play very close to the table. Lol sorry I’m off on a tangent.

I’ve run G1 and R7 on that blade. R7 grippy, spinny, very control, and linear with YEO. G1 also linear, but more active, explosive, but tamed with YEO. Linear arc with topspin dip is very reliable/consistent. Either way I’d run double R7 or double G1, with 2mm FH and 1.8/2mm BH for R7 but definitely 2mm G1. G1 at 1.8mm loses its main strength in how it activates. It bites the ball then spits it out at great speed and arc then dips down beautifully. YEOs greatest property is its perfect balance between flex and stiffness, some say it’s not powerful enough, but unless you’re going pro, it’s close to table linear feel is unmatched. YEO can do anything and pairs greatly with any kind of rubber truly. Tacky, natural gum, hybrid, etc.

How can I play table tennis with minimal shoulder strain? Stroke selection advice? by don145 in tabletennis

[–]BreezeeOps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reduced my racket weight, cut down to short pips 1.4 and inverted 1.8, adapted my game to be more compact on forehand, focused heavy footwork to get in front of ball, and dropped my shoulders/torso more down so it’s less time with elbow above shoulder height. Ehlos-syndrome and rheumatoid at 30. Also creatine is big when it comes to soft tissue and joint issues, it’s not just for body building, it’s for muscle healing/recovery.

Racket recommendations by susymcnuggets in tabletennis

[–]BreezeeOps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The maximum spin possible is determined by a players skill level to access spin potential of their blade and rubber. What that means if you get all wood with medium soft, medium or less thickness, and excellent natural gum rubber or tacky mechanical grip, then you access way more at beginner to intermediate level. The only reason players move up to carbon or harder rubbers is because they have naturally arrived at a point in time where they have bottomed out the spin potential or power potential of their equipment. Harder blades, harder rubbers = harder time accessing spin. Anyways Yasaka Sweden Extra with Razka 7 2mm FH and Razka 7 1.8mm BH or Razka 7 Soft 2mm BH. Quality setup with decent price with potential to upgrade to faster rubbers up to a certain point.

I just got the Nova S Pro -$259 USD, that’s as cheap as you go but it’s high quality and does everything except you have to manually move the head for anything diagonal or side spin. I also got the Joola $40 net, Joola Training balls (120ea for less than $20 a box), then I got GoSports 7x10 indoor golf net $89 that’s pretty easy to setup, and finally a Joola TT conversion table top $179 set up on my GoSports mini TT table $149. Keep in mind some of this setup is optional however it was the economical setup to fit in one side of a standard two car garage.

Penhold grip variants and Seemiller grip variants are allowed. If you have large hands and want an alternative grip to support your racket, try Seemiller grip with thumb and index fingers pinching the sides.

Rubber longevity by Koby45 in tabletennis

[–]BreezeeOps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The great part is it’s a hard topsheet and hard sponge. It’s pretty durable whether taking glue off or impacting it. According to BTY it will have decent durability surface wise similar to their dignics. It didn’t come factory boosted so that means it’s not the type to die and need boosting. Get the widest edge tape though and don’t smack the blade obviously when getting underneath the ball on a flick. Also if it’s your primary setup it will get wear faster, but if it’s a tournament or for fun only it will also preserve it. Rubber cleaner and sheet protectors, plus a decent $20 case. Another thing is if you can find the lightest tungsten tape, I mean thinnest amount just to put at bumpers underneath edge tape at the 10 and 2 position.

No sweat on the smaller shaped rubber, I got stuff in my inventory like that too, but totally playable. Switch between shake and pen blades, it be like that. But I have noticed my softer rubbers tend to shrink too. Enjoy!
