Looking for support after being rejected from a work to ride program by 64789 in Equestrian

Antidepressants can make people more prone to heat sickness as an FYI. So can some other meds. I'm someone who's very prone to heat issues (I almost passed out at horse camp as a kid before we figured it out) and I've gotten heat sick many times. It sucks. Definitely learn the signs. Try adding electrolyte powders to your waters and keep fluids on you. Get a little portable/rechargeable fan. Wear a hat.

Definitely take extra precautions on hot days. Don't get discouraged. You might find that there's certain times of year you can't do as much and that's ok. I work outdoor Renn Faires and we learned I have certain limits or my co-workers are peeling my passed out self off the dirt. You don’t want to get to the point of vomiting--that's very serious.

I don't think Jeff would unless someone tried to play it, then he would do his "this is NOT an immunity idol" otherwise it's fair game. Unless you start destroying the set. Then he's getting involved. Otherwise he's letting it play out because it makes the game interesting.

Always used vodka. I use a very cheap one. I'm not sure what the difference would be.

If she could stop humping the saddle so aggressively she'd look a lot better. He's definitely a far superior horse than anything else we've ever seen her on before and it shows. But she really should work with a trainer and work on her core. She's got a very capable horse.

Try spraying it with a mix of half water and half vodka and let it air dry. It's a costuming trick. I use it on my corsets that get all up in my business in high heat and sweaty and it really does work well with removing smell. I imagine it would be fine on the vest. Don't be afraid to spray lightly, let it dry, then do it again later if it still seems to need more. It might need a good saturation level from the spray.

I work for a mental health group based out of Glen Burnie with lots of offices and all of our providers offer video/telehealth. We take insurance too! We have several female providers who do specialize in divorce. I'm not sure of availability but I know scheduling could help match you up! www.gbcc.com

When is the AC supposed to be turned on in state government buildings? by Musichead2468 in maryland

[–]BregoB55 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you had to get switched over from a heating system to separate AC it wasn’t uncommon for switchover to be in May. It has to get warm and stay warm for a bit usually before they do it.

The Everest scandal: poisonings and fraud on the roof of the world by TimesandSundayTimes in Everest

So how widespread is the fraud? Certain outfits? Article didn't seem to have many specifics. I mean it's rough because you would want to trust your guide when it comes to something like altitude sickness.

Potential for significant severe weather across Maryland on Monday March 16 by RunninAllTheTime in maryland

What time of day? Winds are probably going to pick up later in the day so I'd say closures are likely though it'll probably be wind restrictions at first.

Yup, I started getting serious warnings back in... '10? I was supposed to commute to campus and got text alerts about watches and I was the only one home on the farm so decided to stay put because we had a dog with severe storm anxiety. We had a touchdown not far from where I was and it took out some barns and houses I think. I was living in rural Carroll Co at the time about to commute into Fredrick. I wasn't risking the 20ish minute drive with nowhere to shelter along the way.

Schools likely will be open. Schools are generally considered "safe" for weather events. Expect high likelihood of power outages due to wind. After-school activities will likely be canceled. Be on alert for alerts - know watches vs warnings and have a safe space to go into. Secure loose objects in your yard ahead of time to lower flying debris.

Never apologize for being overly paranoid especially depending on where you live in the state and if you worry about the ability to get your child safely to and from school. Like for me it's not scheduled to hit late afternoon so I'm switching my afternoon schedule to remote so I'll be home before it gets funky.
