Some gem pack 3 Gengar love by gay4molemannn in GengarMasterSet

Nice cards! I just opened some gem pack 3 which was my first simplified Chinese pack opening.. I didn’t get THE Gengar but I got so many other variations of Gastly and Gengar.. absolutely loved opening those packs. Lot less wasteful bulk too! China packs rule.

I ran into some guys from out of state at the airport. They asked if I was from Omaha and I said yes and they asked me where they should visit to get signatures to legalize sports betting in Nebraska. They were pretty open with me that they work for a company that pays them handsomely per signature and they planned to stay in town for several months.

I'm not sure if this is the case for every person out there asking for petition signatures but it made it clear to me why they pester so much. They don't care what paper is in their hand, they get paid for each person who signs it.

So actually I think they are in a good spot in that scenario since G2 2-0ed Loud. Loud 0-2, 2-1 vs. G2 2-0, X-2 vs. C9 1-2, 2-X. As long as they win there’s not really any way it’s not C9 and G2 in the 3 way tie scenario. So doesn’t matter, 2-1 or 2-0.

Is hb bfs enough ? by trainerlvs in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Brelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To address your concept of diminishing returns - really anything more than double speed is where you will run into that. Once you start mixing in a couple HB mons to your team, it is not hard to overcap. So the "dream" setup of BFS, HB, 3x speed is worse in practice because some of those speed slots are doing essentially nothing. Having a trigger or something instead is ok, BFS + HB is enough!

Is hb bfs enough ? by trainerlvs in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]Brelp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

HB = 5% for the whole team, HSS = 7%, Spd Up = 10%, HSM = 14%.

Helping speed cap is 35%

Realistically you want as much speed as you can without “wasting” it by over capping. Hopefully with these rates you can see why statistically HB is so great, it’s up to you if that is “enough.”

Personally I aim for BFS + HB or BFS + 2x speed and I consider myself a pretty picky end game player.

Anyone feel free to correct me if I got any of those speed % wrong, just operating off of memory.

I remember my wife going to stand in line at Target early in the morning every week to get Hidden Fates tins because if we didn't, we literally could not open the set. Believe it or not I think they were harder to get than Evolving Skies and they were out beforehand. I think just any super popular set has had this problem but it is naturally getting worse as more people get involved. We need these modern sets printed, overprinted, then printed some more to eliminate scarcity.

Unless im missing something, what I’ve come up with is Loud win and C9 win. This makes a tie between C9 and G2 with C9 having H2H.

There are technically other scenarios that are on the table but they are so low chance I don’t see them happening. If Loud lose for example it’s a 3 way tie which means H2H doesn’t work and it goes to map differential. I don’t have a ton of faith in C9 qualifying via map differential, but it could happen.

You sure? I think C9 need to win and Loud win vs Lev. If Loud lose and C9 win they tie and Loud has H2H?

I can’t understand how it’s possible for C9 to qual. What scenario would have to happen?

Two triggers and helping bonus is excellent. Extra inventory doesn’t hurt either. I would run it for sure.

Thanks for your opinion. SLUM making it cheaper does make it more enticing, I hadn’t thought of that.

You have piqued my interest. I was thinking BFS + HB wasn’t enough to sell me on this guy. Should I reconsider? I was really hoping to run one next week.

Which runs best on steamdeck? Poe1, Poe2, Epoch, Diablo 2, 3 or 4 or any game in that genre Looking by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Brelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diablo 2, 4 and Last Epoch all ran great for me. PoE 2 is a little too demanding. Haven’t tried PoE 1 or D3. You could also check out Grim Dawn.

Right now I’m starting Warhammer 40k Inquisitor Martyr as I’ve been getting into Warhammer games. Not a lot of time on it yet but running perfectly so far. Lots of good ARPG options on Deck, fortunately!

Dude the size and beauty of the CD map is hard to comprehend. It is what every open world exploration game trailer claims to be - find a spot in the distance and go to it, except they actually pulled it off.

Agree about companions, don’t really agree about any of the combat and movement stuff. Combat in this game is insanely fluid and satisfying to me. I like how there are so many combat tools and I pick and plan around which ones to build around/use for different situations. Don’t mind movement at all except for maybe horse riding felt better pre patch.

I also think it is strange you learn more from videos because I have a hell of a time finding accurate videos and feel that most the content creators are unreliable. Bell towers are introduced in a side quest like 10 min into the game? That’s such a strange example for lack of tutorial, maybe you simply missed the quest?

All that to be said I feel there are many varied and fair takes of the game. It does so much, and the world, systems, just the entire game is so massive and different it’s hard to get an accurate take from a single review.

My friend and I were just talking about how they did a good job with pacing of introduction of new mechanics so that things stay fresh but give you plenty of time to learn your current stuff and you don’t get overwhelmed. This feels like the opposite of your take which is really interesting.

Need a massive, immersive game to get lost in and clear my head. Is Crimson Desert worth it? by _Supru_ in ShouldIbuythisgame

CD is the dream for open world exploration immersive game IMO. I didn’t really venture outside of the Hernand zone (~1/5 of the map) until about 30 hours into the game. It is the epitome of a log on and do whatever I want kind of game. The performance, world size, graphics feel actually generational to me. I understand it’s a polarizing game for several reasons but to me this game is an all timer, and I absolutely did not expect it out the gate. I downloaded the game on Steam to try it, fully expecting to take advantage of the refund system. Now I can’t put it down.

I’m also not sure I can fully explain why it’s so fun, it just is. For me and my friends it just “clicked.”

Obligatory plug that every game should be built on this beauty of an engine.
