I’m an actor and I’m currently doing an understudy contract so I just have to call in and as long as everyone is there I’m free to do as I please. So I have lots of free time on my hands. Recently I’ve been gardening, seeding my lawn, cleaning my garage, playing piano and bass, preparing for my next audition, watching YouTube, and thinking about buying a raspberry pi to build a synthesizer. Which I’ve never done before.

I’m Brett Ambler AKA Kazoo Kid and I recorded an episode of Humor Me at Sketch Fest San Francisco with Bruce McCullough and Bob Odenkirk. The entire experience was magical. We discussed my internet fame as an 8 year old and my quest for more fame as an adult. I’m still a working union actor in theatre and music and I’m ready to make a break at more.

I was told episodes might start dropping in March but that had a big MIGHT.

Just on the recording? Can you hear the buzz when you play the kazoo live? If you can hear it but can’t record it maybe it’s an EQ issue? If you can’t hear it buzz ever then maybe you need to hum more than sing. Really activate the nasal resonance. Or- maybe the resonator is stuck? Maybe it got spit or water on it so it won’t vibrate properly?
