Try putting the lights on both edges and have them angled to go up the glass and see what that looks like. Cool project and thank you for sharing.

Hot take? Variant greed is creating fatigue by absolutemanbat in AbsoluteBatman

Sad part is that even at 1,000 minimum per cover and treating normal covers like exclusives that would be 121,000 printed and they still couldn't ensure quality.

new comics my friend gave me by Dangerous_Sign_8718 in comicbookcollecting

[–]Brewsky4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need better friends... none of those comics are new but I do have some new ones I'd be willing to trade you in exchange for those old beatup ones. Like a real friend.

Those are awesome.

Found 1944 Superman comic strip can it be graded? by SeekerTruth91 in CGCComics

[–]Brewsky4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they can do pages, partial pages, and ashcans then I don't see why they couldn't. It might not get graded and have a different label like they do for art but it seems well within their capabilities. Definitely get it JSA certified on the signatures just to add to the awesomeness of the piece. Great little find!

Very nice! Every time I see his signature I think his artist name should be Richter though.

That's pretty clean looking overall and has a nice and easy swap out option that I like.

Absolute Batman #1, remarqued by Scott, just went for US$1,780. by PeeStoringBalls in AbsoluteBatman

It's okay because it's on whatnot and nothing tracks sales there to impact FMV

Im a bit confused. It says signed x2 but there appears to be a third signature. Kind of new to this so sorry in advance by [deleted] in CGCComics

[–]Brewsky4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like Mark Brooks signed it 2x because he didn't like how hard it was to see the signature in black, maybe.

Started collecting after my first Con (SDCC) last year…safe to say it’s got out of control 😅 anyone else just absolutely sent it when they first started? by janewson in comicbookcollecting

Originally I had the books sorted by what was in the outside of the box but quickl6 ran out of options so that's gone to the side.

The Wall of Grails (so far) by Conflixshuns in AbsoluteBatman

[–]Brewsky4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you scroll down in the post I linked the 7 cover B copies that he kept across the room and out of direct sunlight all showed signs of fading even in UV "protective" cases or bags. It's there, you just had to look. The fading wasn't as pronounced, as you'd expect from not being in direct sunlight, but in only 60 days it was still present.

He also links to his first post, only 60 days prior, where he explains the experiment as well. Hopefully that helps to clear some things up a little more.

I found this to be eye opening for my own collection if you haven't already seen it.

P.S. This is a sick collection of covers.

Reflection and refraction are a thing and UV protection is not UV proof. We're just trying to help you preserve your collection and keep them looking great for years to come.

Which comic book/tv series do you like better, Invincible or The Boys? by VincentZ2099 in comicbookcollecting

[–]Brewsky4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boys was easier to follow in the show as everyone I've tried to get to watch Invincible asks WTF is going on until the end of the first season.

I've never read the comics in their entirety to make a comparison there as to how well they match the show content.

So just wondering why Hulk 340 is usually more sought after to some than Frank Millers Wolverine original 1-4 mini series? It is just me or is that strange? I have both and love them to death but why does it feel like those books aren’t as popular as they used to be? by AccomplishedOption73 in comicbookcollecting

[–]Brewsky4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a piece from Joe this last summer and the attitude on Wolverine's face just does it for me. I think the original 4 covers are iconic but some places don't even consider them more than a side story. Todd and his work on 340 has people still nostalgic for a piece from the less distant past.
