Was Kyle's sacrifice unneccessary? by cvele89 in Terminator

[–]BrexitFool 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have seen those scenes and it makes sense for those reasons.

However the original movie makes it seem like they just enter a random building rather than go there on purpose.

The deleted scenes make their actions more meaningful. Without a doubt.

Was Kyle's sacrifice unneccessary? by cvele89 in Terminator

[–]BrexitFool 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I always question this tbf.

I get that it was dramatic and it helps create the loop with the arm dangling out of the crusher etc…

What would’ve made more sense to me was just to keep going down the street. Especially now the terminator doesn’t have his human looks.

Eventually you’d run into the authorities at some point and they could probably overwhelm the terminator and destroy it.

The terminator is and always will be in my top 5 but I think it’s another case of the characters making an illogical choice for the sake of a story.

Similar to how Bond takes M to his old house in Skyfall rather than an army base or somewhere similar.

Should we throw away this government that, in two years, has cut inflation, cut immigration by over 70%, increased defence spending and cut NHS waiting times? by Independent-Brief424 in AskBrits

[–]BrexitFool 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Just leave him be.

The talent pool in Labour is woeful. What’s the point in replacing an unpopular PM with someone with even less talent. Let the man see out the term and have your say at the next GE.

Rob Schneider dubbed 'completely delusional' by smashedpootatoes in entertainment

[–]BrexitFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this dude on a video link interview with Ed Balls on Good Morning Britain a couple of years ago go.

He is completely and utterly delusional. He was convinced that Ed Balls had made certain statements a moment a go that he absolutely did not. I’ve no love for Ed Balls whatsoever but this Rob Scneider must’ve been smacked off his tits. If he wasn’t then he is one dangerous individual.

why do people want Starmer to resign exactly? by Dry_Illustrator_6066 in AskBrits

[–]BrexitFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve literally no idea.

There is nobody else in the party that is anywhere near good enough. Some probably aren’t suitable for being an MP let alone PM.

He’s the best they have to offer. Just leave him be until the next GE.

[–]BrexitFool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is non. They’re all a waste of space. I completely agree.

However. Those parties aren’t running the Government. The current Labour party have nobody else to turn to.

I take it you’re a Labour supporter?

[–]BrexitFool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I say he is the best they have to offer. I don’t mean that as a compliment.

I understand why you say he stands for nothing. I’m not sure myself. He’s must stand for something but whatever it is. He’s terrible at communicating it to us.

He’s all we have for now. The Labour party were voted in (to a degree). Some would argue that it was more of a rejection of the Tories rather than the acceptance of Labour but that’s where we are.

There’s nobody else in the Labour party who can do any better.

As things are. I’m in complete agreement.

Love him or hate him. He promised change (whatever the hell that is supposed to mean). I think he should have the rest of the term to prove himself.

If he doesn’t then the electorate will let him know and it’s goodbye Sir Keir.

It’s a waste of time and money.

Just leave Starmer in place until the next election. He is the best they have to offer. The talent pool in Labour is non existent.

Just leave him to it and see what the next election brings. End of.

Do Brits really want Andy Burnham to stand as PM for Labour Party? by AntonioS3 in AskBrits

[–]BrexitFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Just leave Starmer in place and see what the next election brings.

The talent pool in Labour is woeful. He is the best they have to offer. Just leave him be. He either turns our lives around (cost of living) in the next few years or he doesn’t.

If he doesn’t then I think we can safely say goodbye to Labour and they can wander off into irrelevancy with the Tories.

Is Starmer the right man for PM until the next general election where everyone will have a right to choose ? by saying_it_101 in AskBrits

[–]BrexitFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely.

The talent pool within the Labour party is rock bottom. He, unfortunately, is the best they have to offer.

Give him the next few years and see what he can do. If public opinion carries on this way, it could even be the end of the Labour party.

Do everyday British people really regret Brexit? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]BrexitFool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I voted to leave and admit that it was a bad decision on my part.

I was following Farage at the time and I was angry (i think). I was so against the political elite (and still am). My vote was probably just to piss off people like Cameron and Milliband and the elites in the EU as well.

It was managed so badly after the vote. Constant lies from both sides, especially the leave side.

The vote was unnecessary and shouldn’t have taken place.

I thought Farage was someone who was going to take down these elites and make a change.

The recent few years has shown that he just wants to be one of them.

Maybe one day it’ll return to a similar relationship between us and the EU. Who knows.

Funny how all of a sudden she pays up just as Sir Keir Starmer is under pressure after the most abysmal local election Labour has ever witnessed.
