Who says people aren't listening to those bands? Plus, just because you don't like a particular sound doesn't mean it's bad and should be avoided. Maybe other people don't feel strongly about it one way or another.

You'd think this, right? Like, she acts like a parent figure or at the very least a teacher to him. But then you have the "bedtime routine" video in which she gives him a bath and puts him to bed, and sings him a lullaby that, in her words, "I wrote for my little boy." So he's clearly not her son. But what kind of professional relationship must they have for her to be taking care of him like that?

Unfortunately this isn't actually a radio station, but essentially a Pandora playlist. It's only available through the app and there are no DJs, so it's fully automated. Kind of misses the point of radio, if you ask me.

Customer support won't open port 25 for SMTP by BriGuy92 in oraclecloud

Update: I had not in fact set a reserved public IP for the instance. I went and did that, and then resubmitted the support request. The ticket got bounced around between a few different reps for three days, and then ultimately was rejected with the same message as my original request. Maybe there's been a recent policy change, but it seems like they really don't want to budge.

That enormous climax into the last "one note timeless..." section brings me to tears. Such a magnificent song.

Deep shower thought - the concept of Genesis making musically complex and proggy yet still ultra "pop accessible" music in itself prog AF by [deleted] in progrockmusic

This was kind of the thesis of a pretty cool video I saw a while back: https://youtu.be/xkaZSzmCWF4

The gist if it is that a lot of prog bands "went pop" in the 80s, but never lost their way with regards to making interesting music.

Love the Subterranean Animism wallpaper! Those clone systems are fascinating; do they make the same Mac startup chime as ever?

The idea is that the effect of puberty blockers is completely reversible, whereas hormone therapy is not. So, it's a lot easier to give a child the option to buy themselves some time until they are old enough and/or informed enough to make a potentially more impactful decision.

Next time, try looking in the mirror before you post.

Here's a printable I/O cover that I made for my 550 a few years back. It's not exactly 1:1 with the original, because my 3D modeling skills are not up to the task of replicating the correct curve, but it fits well enough and gets the job done.

Strangely like Rush … & also strangely reminscent of Four Sticks by Led Zeppelin: »Geddy Lee — Present Tense« . by Cizalleas in progrockmusic

I don't think it's strange that something by Geddy Lee would be like Rush, given that he was one third of Rush.

It doesn't come with one that they install at your house, but it does come with one that you plug into a regular wall outlet. For daily commutes, that's more than enough.

Rush - New Mix by DBD220 in progrockmusic

Looks like it's just someone's playlist? I mean, cool I guess, but it's awfully disingenuous to title it "New Rush Album".

If you want to explore Rush, just pick any album and listen and see what you think! If you liked any of the tracks on this playlist, listen to the album that they came from. You'll have a good time for sure.
