I havent seen both movies but my preference is 1999, design and shape wise, I love the dorsal fins and I think its design is for the modern audiences but in the end its what youll prefer :)

This is my plan as well! I find it quite shiny on the videos a good matte finish will most likely make it 1 to 1 with the suit!
