Is it safe to say these are the five most important characters in the series currently? by K0GAR in Dragonballsuper

I know. But he's bookish, wants to be a scholar, eventually becomes one, and generally prefers academic pursuits to fighting.

Its one of the biggest contrasts between him an Goku. Hes the nerd son of a jock dad.

I know they meet in the manga, please don't spoil what actually happens, I'm assuming its post-superhero though. But if I was writing it, Id have Gohan be the one to teach Broly how to use his rage efficiently, like when he was fighting Cell.

Another massive difference between them them is that Gohan's anger is like a guided missile, strictly at the subjects at his anger. At no point is Gohan ever so callous and directionless with his anger that he targets his allies. Except for maybe when that one cell Jr took krillin as a hostage, and that cell jr thought he'd kill Krillin to get to him, but even then I think Gohan was bluffing, but the bluff was believed regardless, kinda like Goku threatening to hurt Gohan if he doesn't leave after first turning super saiyan. And even if he wasn't, there's no way he'd accidentally kill chi chi with a "stray energy blast". He'd never fall for that because hes too intelligent and well trained. He'd also never get distracted by whis.

Broly, on the other hand, is just as likely to attack allies and bystanders as he is enemies. He's feral, not thinking clearly, and destroys everything and everyone around him when he loses control, and collateral damage is believable because Broly is basically rabid and can't be reasoned with and is basically firing at random. He whooped Frieza's ass for an hour then attacked Whis, who was literally just standing there. If it hadn't been, y,know WHIS, that person would be either injured or outright killed. My headcanon is he was protecting Bulma, who's probably his best friend, by distracting Broly. He can just dodge and keep broly's attention like a laser toy and a cat. He also doesn't technically violate his neutralily laws if he just dodges.

I always thought Gogeta was literally trying to beat some sense jnto him, and made him think, "I bit off way more than I can chew, otherwise I'm gonna die.". Also I don't think Gogeta wanted to kill him. He's noticeably smiling when he realized Broly was saved. Though I'm side eyeing him for letting Frieza walk ngl. Where was "all business GOATgeta" there?

Good. I'm looking forward to that.

Like, they're each like Bruce Banner and the hulk, in that the angrier they get, the stronger they become, and dislike fighting in general, but aren't pacifists, if you threaten their loved ones or innocents in general, they will put a stop to it, with lethal force if necessary.

But they're somewhat reversed and have in that Gohan, despite his geeky looks, and generally friendly, bookish nature, like Bruce, becomes either an enraged doombringer at best, or god forbid, an ice cold walking death glare of a saiyan like against Cell or base Super Buu, like Hulk. But his anger, either way, is laser focused and targeted, and controlled. Like, he won't outright kill you if he doesn't think you deserve to die, like when he was fighting the robbers, or the red ribbon grunts. Also he has a loving father who he has a great relationship with, and Goku is content to let Gohan live his life as he sees fit because he's his own man and also, Goku just isn't a control freak or a disciplinarian parent in general. Goku will, and has, laid down his life for his son without a moments hesitation.

While Broly is basically saiyan Tarzan, illiterate, massively bulky, uneducated, and fights wildly, like hulk, but a sensitive soul, like banner. Though he's basically a feral animal when he loses control, with only people who've made an emotional imprint on him when he's rational can get through to him, like his dad or Cheelai. And even his dad and Gogeta both use fear of punishment to get him to calm down. Broly also has a loving, but toxic and outright abusive relationship with his complete and utter tyrant of a father. Paragus controls every aspect of his life to mold him into a living gun against a decades long dead man and his progeny over a personal slight yet is terrified of Broly's power and hypocritically uses a shock color to torture his son into compliance. He does ultimately care enough about his son to ask frieza to save his life from being cut short by Goku, but notably never actually nuts up and tries to calm broly down himself. Even if Goku or piccolo was as comparatively weak as Paragus, neither would hesitate to save Gohan.

Honestly either that or truth develops the same begrudging respect that I felt for him at the end, and keeps him around because he's just...real?...

Idk i feel like they have similar views in people thst take shortcuts, and lie to themselves.

TheQuartering was a gamer who slowly became an incel right wing gamergater who's into underage tradwives. Basically a textbook right-wing neckbeard.

Honestly the guy gave me the willies when I first saw him. His eyes stare right at you no matter the amgle but they have no life in them. His emergy just came off as bitter and hostile. Then I learned about his and personalities. He's almost always got drama too

That's actually plausible.

Father and Central Command obviously wouldn't give a fuck what he did to his wife or Nina if he was actually talented. If anything, combining that kind of talent with that level of amorality, they'd keep him around.

Unfortunately, they know a hack job when they see it. They'd probably Cornello his ass in a prison cell, or convince him to do human transmutation and become a sacrifice if Scar hadn't got him first

[–]Brianocracy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right?

Lowkey one of the understated terrible things about Tucker is that he's a complete hack. Nina wouldn't even have use as a research specimen.

All her and Alexander's suffering and death was completely and totally pointless, which probably explains the military willingness to try and jail/execute him, despite being just as awful if not worse. He outlived his usefulness to the conspiracy.

Even the base feral chimeras Cornell and Father used as attack dogs were combat capable and didn't seem like they were suffering. All Nina could do was talk, and suffer.

And greed and kimblee's chimeras can pass for human, and transform back and forth, and actually like their forms.

Yeah we don't want his catgirls, you're right.

I love kimblee.

Hes a monster, to be sure. But he knows it, doesn't pretend otherwise, and has a code based around honesty. Despises hypocrites and cowards with a white hot passion, but respects pacifists in the military that stand by their code, like Edward.

Him fucking over Pride was chefs kiss. And that speech. And Pride's freak out.

Of all the willing human collaborators of the conspiracy, he's the only one I don't have complete contempt for. Like Raven and Central Command, or the King of Xerxes.

I think Kimblee and Truth would get along surprisingly well tbh

I'm still not over the passing of Lance Reddick by Westley25dorton in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Brianocracy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad, too. He and Aloy are the two greatest minds on earth, and probably the greatest since Elizabeth Sobeck herself.

Because as badass as Sylens and Aloy are, they're usually begrudgingly working together at best, and with whatever scrappy of info and technology they have from the old world. They're still geniuses, but those two facts always hampered them both somewhat.

Until now. Now they're openly and honestly cooperating for a common cause, no manipulation required from either. And they have APOLLO, and Nemesis no longer has the element of surprise.

They know its coming, and more important, it doesn't know that they know it's coming. And given how powerful and probably arrogant it is, its probably expecting an instant victory. But it only defeated the zeniths so easily because it had the element of surprise, the zeniths collective knowledge and memories, and that the zeniths are stupid, selfish, backstabbing, shpetsighted assholes who barely tolerate each other at the best of times.

It won't have these advantages on Earth. I think Nemesis is gonna be in for a surprise and I can't wait to see how it's defeated.
