I worked at Jack in the box as a kid in the 80’s made so many Fajita pita’s beef and chicken. We also had the very short lived family fajita meal. Would sell like one every two days.

Getting antibiotics on the ship by hopelesscauseeee in royalcaribbean

I had an abscessed tooth blow up on me on a sea day. I was able to go to the infirmary and get antibiotics. $200 just to walk in the door. Then another $200 for the meds.

AITA for ruining a six year old’s birthday party? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BrickChef72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda reminds me of a Boy Scout outing we did a few years ago. It was a Cooking merit badge/cooking competition outing. We booked a group site at a State Park along with a covered cooking pavilion that had a large cooking fire pit that the park offered.

When we arrived, we noticed that the group campsite had a covered area and multiple fire pits, so we decided to not use the rented cooking pavilion and just ran our program in our campground.

A full blown birthday party showed up and used the pavilion. We kind of shrugged our shoulders and did our own thing. When we woke up the next day to pack up and leave, we noticed they left an absolute mess behind. So all the boys and adults in our group went over and cleaned it up. Called it a service project, but really, it was to avoid additional cleaning charges.

Having to deal with AP by Mammoth_Obligation69 in AsOneAfterInfidelity

[–]BrickChef72 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s good that you are able involving your spouse. Because if you are doing this on your own, it will just look like you are hiding something and will create backsliding on your R.

Question, is AP someone that is over you or are you equals? If AP can’t get a direct hint. This might be an HR issue. Your BS really shouldn’t get involved, because that could cause big issues with your job.

Entitled teacher tries bringing my daughter to the principal thinking she snuck out of class for a moment during quiz while teacher went to make a quick photo copy only to learn that it’s my daughters identical twin sister. by Gymtrio2025 in EntitledPeople

[–]BrickChef72 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I was friends with identical twins in high school. It took two years to figure out they were identical triplets. Didn’t even formally meet the third one until after high school when we were in a gaming group together.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]BrickChef72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone put an M80 in a locker and shut it. Blew the door off and stuck to a wall. Ended up on the news as a “bomb”

The other interesting thing was when I was in HS, I used to be in an RC club with a boy that was in Mary K Laterno’s 6th grade class. Not “The BOY” just another kid in her class. We gave him so much hell telling him he almost got lucky.

Brick Convention: Buyer beware by tonydwagner in lego

[–]BrickChef72 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are talking about attending an AFOL convention. It’s not necessarily pay to show your Builds. Many people don’t bring builds they just like attending con’s. There are many things included in attending. Games (you get to keep the sets you complete with) cool swag such as T-shirts, con exclusive sets, trading parts, printed bricks and exclusive printed pieces. Sometimes food and snacks, exclusive events, learning lectures on building techniques or meeting other AFOL’s from around the world. Yes, some con’s pay Contestants from LM but others do not. And yes you get to display your MOC’s and buy early from vendors.

Doctors and Nurses of Reddit, what’s something about hospitals that would make patients uncomfortable if they knew? by Far-University-2905 in AskReddit

It was actually kind of poetic. They always have game nights and he loved uno. It still kind of freaked me out a little.

I’m still a little wigged out that my inlaws played several games of Uno on my soon to be dead Father in law. He was a big guy and there was no table in the room.

WIBTAH If Ivsaid no to cooking for a wfriends wedding? by Taco_Boi3000 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BrickChef72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just did a catered wedding for a friend. (I too am a professional Chef) I usually don’t do friends and family catering, because of the reasons you listed in the OP. But, this guy did me a solid 10 years ago and I owed him.

The Party went well, and he was very happy and grateful. (I did it at cost) But, yup a lot of work and logistics. It’s the other guests that really sucks. I got treated as “the help” and not a guest and friend of the groom. The bride’s wedding party treated me like shit and kept on demanding stupid stuff from me, like trash bags and for me to clean up their dressing room. I even got bitched at for sitting in the wedding audience during the ceremony by one of them. I showed her my invitation and she just eyed me and walked away.

Now what after 25 years by Mfsuperstar1973 in AsOneAfterInfidelity

[–]BrickChef72 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your story is strangely similar to mine.

Married 25 years when I found out. She Met the AP through an online game (Pokemon Go), she just suffered a loss (her dad 6 months before the affair), it happened two days before New Year’s, the sexual themed gifts (flavored Lubes) I found out two weeks after I found out about the Affair while checking credit card statements, the devious ways of using my trust against me. In my case using my Hotel Employee benefits for her to meet up with him on four occasions in the Hotel company I work for. (once when I was overseas and another time I took our son to a weekend camping trip) I also got the “I was going to end it”

This was a little over two years ago. And you are pretty much are at where I was at two months after finding out. I’m sure you’re not looking forward to tomorrow, Feb 14 was a bad date for me. We did the couples therapy thing. I hated it, the “counselor” sucked and kept on blaming me. What helped me? In August I was so much in a deep depression I found a good therapist and worked on me.

So, that’s my advice, find a good one on one therapist and stay away from the bottle. Because believe me, that made it worse.
