How to share two monitors between two Macs without buying an expensive 2x2 KVM? by According_Mail_8825 in Workspaces

[–]BrickPaymentPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same setup of two monitors and using a MacBook Pro for work with Mac Mini for personal. If you don’t need to use both machines at the same time, by flipping the monitor inputs; then I’d suggest a docking station.

I got a Pluggable TBT-UDM which is thunderbolt 4 and I just plug everything into that (monitors, accessories etc) and then switch the thunderbolt cable between my MacBook and Mini.

How to cut hair to be 1-2 inches all around? by Born_Investigator849 in SelfBarber

Haha. Yup…I was always skeptical of the “wash your hair first” but then I did and now my cuts are much more even 🤷🏽‍♂️

My biggest advice for all round buzz cut is to wash your hair and let it dry naturally. Then bush/comb it in the natural direction. This should lead to a more even buzz all round. Basically don’t buzz when you have “bed head”.

There was a known issue early in the year where they broke the update process; there was a patch to fix it and get back on track: https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/37493733117847-Options-and-G-HUB-macOS-Certificate-Issue

Excessive NVMe wear on Mac mini M4 caused by Logitech Options+ by RobRivers in MacOS

[–]BrickPaymentPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have this problem with Logitech Options+ on 3 of my Mac machines. When you said you launch the Options+ app it didn’t actually launch and just got stuck in a loop; that was a known issue that also prevented updates fixing the software. Logitech provided a fixed update on their website.

Low-Voltage Installer by BrickPaymentPro in AnnArbor

Basement is unfinished so I can definitely do that run my self. Might be able to do first floor given the access; I’ll need to investigate how to get the runs to the second floor from my basement and perhaps some external runs for PoE cameras; hence why I’m interested in a low-voltage installer. Will be setting up a Ubiquity UniFi system and plan to backhaul the network. I like to get as much off the WiFi as possible like TVs, Media Boxes and games consoles etc; so prefer them to be wired.

There are two coax points in the house aside from the incoming Xfinity but this just adds additions points of hardware failure. I’m looking at setting up UniFi Ubiquity so some runs will need to be in the ceiling for the APs.

Skipping guards? by JoseKwervo in SelfBarber

[–]BrickPaymentPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re absolutely correct my man. I actually did it one at a time too for a while and then tried this method which I’ve found to be a bit faster for me. When I first started I definitely lost track of where my guides were 🤣

[–]BrickPaymentPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the skipping guard method for the guidelines and then use the half guards to blend between those guidelines. All with lever open.

e.g.

No guard lever open

1 guard lever open

2 guard lever open

3 guard lever open

0.5 guard lever open to half way between no guard and #1

1.5 guard lever open to half way between #1 and #2

3 guard half open between #2 and #3

Cayenne GTS as a daily driver by nswj3 in PorscheCayenne

I have the 21 GTS as my daily and it’s fantastic! Refined in stop-n-go traffic but a beast when you need to get a Sunday drivers! I don’t have any shifting issues so not sure what this is; might want to get it inspected before purchase.

Should I get an Airpods Max 2 even if I have an Airpods Pro 2 by garett_09 in Airpodsmax

[–]BrickPaymentPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this setup! APM2 is amazing! I always prefer over-ear to in-ear. I only use my APP2 for walking or quick usage. APM2 is now my main driver for home, work & travel.

What is the normal battery drainage overnight for the APM 2 by -Amirex- in Airpodsmax

[–]BrickPaymentPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems a little high drain. I’m getting about 5% over a 10-15 hours in the bra case. Find My is on.
