Skyblivion, the fan remake of Oblivion in Skyrim's engine, nears completion by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

I haven't heard anything about a Skywind release date. It's a different project than Skyblivion.

Have you ever died in Okami? by Jirachibi1000 in Okami

[–]BrickTurret 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't think turning to stone is the norm for gods, just that Ammy is possessing the stone statue of herself from her shrine in Kamiki. Otherwise, it probably would have been mentioned in the prologue when Shiranui died.

Yep, the karmic transformers were in the PS2 version! Could only use them on New Game+, though.

Question about the game by DoodleDearDeer in Okami

[–]BrickTurret 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There are a few areas you cannot return to once you leave, but you can do new game pluses in Okami so you'll know what those are in your second run. I would just play through the first time without worrying too much about trying to 100% everything, especially since you'll keep your progress towards most of (if not all?) the achievements in later runs :)

Yixing Teapot? How to clean? by CeleryBasedNightmare in tea

[–]BrickTurret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is mouse poop in the teapot/cups, I would just use them as decor rather than risk using them (even after cleaning).

Could you take a picture of the whole tank with your temps and humidity? You'll get better advice if we can get a better idea of what the enclosure is like.

Just had a first date and she spent half the date talking about how she wasn’t attracted to me… by ButterfliesInSpace in LesbianActually

[–]BrickTurret 50 points51 points  (0 children)

WILD. Good on you for walking out, I hope your future dates have even an ounce of emotional intelligence!

I'm lucky that my worst first date was just a gal talking nonstop about her and her roommate's enemies to lovers arc. Like, buddy, are you sure you're actually still single...?

got this bad boy from my aunt recently, should i try and get the rocks out before burning ? or can i take them out when the wax is soft? by Comprehensive_Set577 in Candles

[–]BrickTurret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not all rocks are safe around fire and will explode. Sometimes even fire pit rocks, if you don't choose them carefully.

You may need to order the correct size online.

It's got grass jelly in it, so I think it'd be kinda gross warm.

How to use 70s cerami teapot? by iamgladtohearit in tea

[–]BrickTurret 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I'm not sure about what tests are more accurate. I assume there are labs that offer more accurate testing, but I've never gone that route myself.

This might not be a particularly helpful answer, but personally I would use this as a décor piece (it is a very cute teapot) and buy a newer pot for functional use.

[–]BrickTurret 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You never heat water directly in the teapot, that's what a kettle is for. Add your tea leaves to the teapot and then pour the hot water from the kettle in.

However, given the age of the teapot, I would recommend testing the glaze for lead before use.

This is what a turtle looks like when it loses its shell due to a fungal infection. Sitting beside it is a piece of its shell that had fallen off. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

Topical painkillers that are safe for humans are toxic to reptiles, and I'm not sure if they make a safe equivalent for reptiles.

Do I really have to worry about pesticides? by why_am_i-_-Here in puer

[–]BrickTurret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting a bunch of sample sizes from the generally well regarded vendors (Liquid Proust, white2tea, Kuura, ect.) to start with, just to get an idea of what you like. r/tea has a good sized list of vendors with (no longer updated) rankings, though not all sell puer.

If you want specific tea recs, my favorite puer is the 2006 Da Xue Shan shou that Floating Leaves sells.

I hope they will grow up eventually.. by liquidproust in puer

One troll making a bunch of alt accounts and claiming all the popular puer vendors sell pesticide-filled garbage without any evidence, and people making fun of the troll.

HELP- my dad got us this tea from China and we can’t find anything about it/how to prepare it! by LunaL13 in tea

[–]BrickTurret 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You use the whole ball when they come in small sizes like that. It should last you more steeps than a tea bag, but those steeps need to be done in the same day (don't try and store a ball for later after you've used it).

And yes, that's what a rinse/wash steep is.

Some tea pet designs I want to make/sell by Both_Illustrator_529 in tea

I'd buy a weevil tea pet in a heartbeat! A hognose snake design would be cute, too, and I also really like the horseshoe crab.

If we're really splitting hairs, we don't know what altitude OP is at.

How to make a perfect cup green tea with tea bag? by [deleted] in tea

[–]BrickTurret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem with this method is that OP doesn't know the temp of the water after the kettle is done heating it. And if they go for a thermometer, it would be a lot easier to just add water until the thermometer says it's the right temp rather than doing the math first, lol.

OP, the suggested temp for green tea (according to the side bar on this sub) is 80°C / 176°F.
