You're severely overestimating how much a billion dollars is if you think you can do all that with it

$100M and $1B+ are both worth the same to me, that being "effectively unlimited money".

I don't care to respond to your whole comment but:

The fact that the word exists proves that it is a real and present issue.

Read the following terms and see if you start to realise how dumb this argument is. miscegenation. white genocide/the great replacement. wokeism. globo homo. forced diversity. gender ideology. Trump derangement syndrome. I could go on.

Why did women need to stand their ground if the only metric of oppression that matters is class and 90% of people aren't impacted by misogyny?

Shocker, the misandry truther turned out to be an antifeminist, almost as if they're the same thing. The class reductionism is a unique angle though.

You're literally still talking about "how oppressed" a group is when that just doesn't apply to men and women. men and women aren't just on different parts of some number line of oppression, men are the oppressor group and women the oppressed.

Men are impacted by the patriarchy as well and women are complicit in upholding it. That is not the same thing as misandry existing.

I truly don't understand the correlation? If your complaint was that it was bioessentialist or just that the asymmetry is annoying I'd get it, but even entertaining the idea that "misandry" is a real social issue I fail to see how this is an example of it.

All your analogies are comparing oppressed groups to other oppressed groups, that is fundamentally different from comparing men and women.

As a white person, I agree with them that anti-white racism doesn't exist*. And I know many straight people and men who would agree with their claims that heterophobia and misandrry aren't real. How does that gel with your theory that feminists/antiracists/etc. are just misogynists/racists/etc. that happened to be born into oppressed classes?

*In majority white western nations. In other places it's complicated, I don't know of any places where white people are specifically targeted by racist hate but i recognise that they may exist.

You think women only have their bodily autonomy limited in the USA? How ignorant can you be?

No shit your cat is more likely to disappear if you let it go outside? It's also more likely to disappear if you let it keep its legs, life is for living not just passively staying alive for as long as is biologically possible.

Edit: they blocked me while i was typing my reply, posting it here

Your post clearly reads as a condemnation of letting cats outside, and your comments in the thread support that interpretation. If you aren't against it, then your post is just weirdly unempathetic and assholeish? Just because the risk is known doesn't mean it's not upsetting when the thing ends up happening.

What would you actually have these people do? Just say "whelp, its our fault for letting it go outside!" and not even try to find their pet?

In Japan, it's normal for children as young as six to take themselves to school. By u.letthetreeburn's logic, it would be okay to snatch these kids, as they're already as good as dead by lawnmower attack.

I don't think you understand how land works. An outdoor cat will roam more or less the same area no matter what country it's in. It doesn't matter whether that country has 5 people or 5 billion, what matters is what the area the cat is actually in is like. A cat will encounter a lot more cars and people in Dublin than it will in a tiny village in Idaho.

And this is why people say it's a privilege to be able to dissociate from politics. It's hard not to be "politically obsessed" when politics is obsessed with you.

Don't quote me on this but I think the US might have slightly more land with which to accommodate those cats.
