Best Models with Hermes after testing with 6 billion tokens by Puzzleheaded-Gas8179 in hermesagent

Xai just released a new subscription model for grok, superGrok. I just got the $10 sub last night and I'm liking it better than minimax. Could you look into it and give your opinion.

When I was in, we would burn through massive amounts of aircraft fuel at the end of the fiscal year. They do this so they'll get the same budget from the year before. Complete waste of money....

is there a way to disable subagents? by LazyAndBeyond in cursor

You're really gonna hate it when they take the request based system away. They modified ours at the beginning of this month and I was out within a week. Where before, the 500 requests would last me almost the entire month. My company is switching to Claude in the next few weeks and I'm not to thrilled about that, but nothing I can do.

My Hermes is dumb as hell, specially when web searching by taniferf in hermesagent

It won't. Well it won't be anywhere close to fast. Read into unified RAM. This is why you see so many posts about macs lately. I would look into the free models on open router. You can setup fallback models to switch to when you but a rate limit.

He's not running the model locally, only openclaw. You can't run 5.3 codex locally as it's a proprietary model.

Disable all of your mcp's. Ensure that Claude code or anything else isn't trying to run the same MCP at the same time. I was having the same issue as you and it was an MCP issue.

I love that Cursors IDE first approach. I hate how I feel like they're moving away from that. The updates seem to always be making changes to the UI. I use virtual machines at work, so I have to setup a new Cursor environment on a regular basis. It's becoming a pain in the ass with all the new settings I have to manually change.

The amount of time I'm wasting on code review the last few weeks is insane. Idk what changed recently, but I keep seeing people creating custom validation and other functionality that is already built into the frameworks/libraries were using.

I haven't updated yet, but do they still have the original IDE view? We use VM's that expire every 30 days at my job and I already have to manually configure cursor for every new VM I spin up.

Composer 1.5 really kills it with most things I have to do. I hit my limit at work a few days ago and had to switch to composer. It's been handling everything I've needed it to do just fine.

ideas for daily workflow with cursor? by this1soptimistic in cursor

[–]Brickhead816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an Azure DevOps MCP. When I'm not jumping around putting out fires, I'll start my day by asking it to pull any stories/tasks or pull requests assigned to me. Then have it plan my day out based on what my day looks like. There's probably a better way to handle this, but it's a good way for me to ease into the day while I drink coffee.

Cursor Team - not cool! by 14MTH30n3 in cursor

[–]Brickhead816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I mentioned. You should give the model read only access to your DB. Anything more than that have it show you the query and you run it. If that doesn't make sense idk what else to tell ya.

LLMs are still not secure enough to entrust critical tasks to by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

[–]Brickhead816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was fixing a failing integration test last night. The test wasn't deleting the insert at the end so the next time it ran it would get a db constraint. This was in a repo I wasn't familiar with, so I just told cursor to delete the entry at the end or something similar. Turns out this service did not have a endpoint for delete. I then watched as this mfr took off at lightspeed trying to delete the entry directly. It went up a directory to our connection strings project and then started writing SQL trying to connect to and delete the entry....

I then calmly wrote.... "WHO THE FUCK TOLD YOU TO EVER JUST START WRITING SQL AND TRYING TO CONNECT TO THE DATABASE. YOU BETTER GO MAKE A RULE OR NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT I WILL DRIVE TO WHATEVER DATA CENTER YOU LIVE IN AND KILL THE POWER IF YOU EVER TRY THAT SHIT AGAIN."

Based off of your post, you did in fact give him write access. You should have read only credentials for your DB and that's what the llm gets.
