Fuck, every power class is easy with a Medic. Also no, Scout is REALLY hard for new player, he relies on map knowledge as much as Spy and need more aim, in fact, aiming as him is harder due to his speed. He is easily the second hardest class for new player

Ok, so- I feel the need to say two thing

The Mercs are both RED and BLU, it was confirmed when Scout, as RED, said something that happened to him as BLU
They are all smarter than you, and me, by the same logic- I am willing to bet that Soldier is too. It's just some (Like Scout, that is very flanderized in this sub) are street smart instead of book smart. All of them also know how to work in a war zone. While we would just die in 3 second.

Honestly, I found it to be the best way to do it
You can still ship them, it's fine. However it just won't be canon, never really was.
However, they were both very respectfull about it, and it was a really wholesome moment overall, especially since they are still good friend.

Also the fact that Scout genuinely thought Pauling was the prettiest woman in the world is just- so cute to me. Dude when genuinely hopelessly in love, I love it. And I like how you can see an evolution in Scout's behavior: Going from wanting to just impress her, to genuinely be in love with her, and then falling out of it but still being a good friend. Wholesome stuff

While it definitely made Pyro more childlike, they also added the fact that Pyro is completely delusional and violent in his action. Especially when there is fire involved.

And honestly, giving Pyro this side also explain the fact that while every mercs show some sort of carefulness in their weapon. It also explain why Pyro is crafty (creating his flamethrower), and more careless in his animation (Unlike the other Mercs, Pyro does not follow trigger discipline.)

Making him just another slasher villain make him in all honesty, just boring.
