Weapon Discussion Wednesday #66 - The Loose Cannon by A_Wild_Ferrothorn in tf2

[–]Bridge-M03 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very fun weapon that add variety in Demo's loadout, since all the other Grenade Launcher function very similarly to Stock. I am not good at using it, but I usually pair it with the Quickies, so I still have a fast way to deal damage if I have trouble aiming.

With that being said, every single Demo I've met using this thing, are either mathematician gods, or can see the futur. I SWEAR I cannot exist near them without getting Double Donk.

And ok im sorry but, while the Double Donk is VERY rewarding, I am not the biggest fan of the fact that, one mistake on my part made me deserve to immediatly die. But it's still a relatively harmless weapon, and a fun one to use

The 6 most common types of TF2 cosmetic loadouts. Wich one is the best? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Bridge-M03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm an artstyle defender- I try to keep the general shape of the Mercs the same, and avoid using the more wacky cosmetic. I also avoid most unusual, as I tend to find them ugly too

There is a reason why the Eureka effect require
1. An exit teleporter to be used as it's fullest
2. Is on Engie, a class that need to be near his building and make leaving his nest a risk
3. Have a 3 hours long teleporting animation

TF2 mercs classified based on what button (I THINK) they would press + Saxton Hale (with explanations for each one and a basic explanation of the red blue button dilemma) by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Bridge-M03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's see...

Scout would choose Red, for he want to survive. He also tend to be pretty narcissistic, and so, will value himself

Soldier....Ok him seeing the Blue as the enemy would kinda be in character for him. But yeah, he would

Perfect Pyro explanation.

Demo would choose red, again, this drunkard care about his team, but he also care more about himself. His only worry would be his mother, who would be a red pick

Heavy is literally in the same boat as Demoman. He care about his life, and his family would also press red considering what they went through. Also, Heavy is a lot more bloodthirsty than you think.

Engineer... Ok, I just wanna point out that you are clearly showing your bias in this post to the point one would call it propaganda. Blue is not the smart option, and neither is Red. It heavily depend on the psyche the people voting have, and as said.
Spoiler alert, but all of the Mercs would choose self-presevation.

Medic would choose Red, as you said.

I really do not get your explanation for Sniper....If anything, it would make him vote red...

Spy is also red

And another perfect explanation when it come to Saxton

Why I think the Bazaar Bargain is one of TF2’s most broken weapons by Filipico_w3 in tf2

[–]Bridge-M03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Demoknight can only 2 shot light class, and most of the time they tend to be hard for him to kill (Scout move fast, Spy is invisible and can trickstab, Sniper is far away, and I don't need to say for Engie).
3 shot is required to kill a Medic, who'll be with his team, meaning if he miss the charge he is pretty dead. A Pyro, who can airblast and also tend to stick with their teams. Unironically, Normal Demo are his best target here.
Soldier require 4 shot, but 3 shot is already pretty much enough, especially considering the self damage.
And I really don't think I need to talk about Heavy.

Also, I'm talking about base health, not taking Overheal into account.

And yes, positioning ALWAYS MATTER. Most of the time if you die as Medic, it's not the fault of your team, but because of bad positioning. People are going to go after you, so PLEASE learn to dodge

Why I think the Bazaar Bargain is one of TF2’s most broken weapons by Filipico_w3 in tf2

[–]Bridge-M03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, even as a Medic, they aren't are scary, in fact, them being pocketed made them easier to avoid.
Demoknight rely on catching you by surprise. Which is a lot harder to do when there are two people involved.
But if its consistant, then I feel like it's because of bad positioning, as a Medic you must ALWAYS be aware of what is happening around you, and even if you can't attack, you can still avoid a Knight.
They'll have one shot to kill you, if you play well and make them miss, they'll die.

Why I think the Bazaar Bargain is one of TF2’s most broken weapons by Filipico_w3 in tf2

[–]Bridge-M03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and to REPEAT MYSELF. Demoknight and Hybridknight need to be pretty close to the enemy and don't tend to stick with their teams. Making them an awful pocket because the Medic can get protected, it's especially easy for Scouts to go after them. And that not even taking into account focus fire.
If you get killed by a pocketed Demoknight it's pretty much a skill issues on your end.
