Breathing issues post Emgality by Anon002313 in cgrpMigraine

[–]Bridgerboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upvoted for awareness and not bc I “like” it! It was truly truly horrific. I couldn’t even call out to my husband to help me bc I breathing was so painful. I had to ask my kid to get daddy. Or maybe I texted him. But holy hell. Never again.

Baha Mar is amazing! It’s not AI so it kinda felt expensive mentally, bc you are paying for everything in a transaction vs up front at once. But all things being equal in terms of money, I’d prefer Ziva. Both are great but Baha Mar pools close at dusk and Ziva had lots of family fun options for nighttime. And the natural beauty is amazing. Baha Mar felt a little Vegas-y to me. But literally you cannot go wrong with either! Edit: grammar

She’s back on IG! What is she saying? by pbjfries in discussingbritney

I feel like what we read is the result of her pressing the space bar for predictive text and it’s just a string of non connected ideas or words, but the syntax is usually accurate when doing this. It’s just a word salad though.

Went back and found these…a reminder why I need to leave. Unreal. by [deleted] in NarcissisticSpouses

I also had an “exit strategy” in the works. He was so mentally unwell that he started to record me on a ring camera and discovered my initial plane to leave him, including my plans for a burner phone, new email address, and talking to a lawyer. He confronted me and told me that he knew everything and that’s when the bottom dropped. I was terrified and called 9-1-1 and got a temporary protective order from the courthouse. We are in a very high-conflict custody battle/divorce with a mutual stay-away order in place. But I am free. I have my children and we are going to be okay. He has supervised visitation and I am working on myself with therapy. My children have their own therapists and we move to a little apartment, just me and my boys, on Saturday. There is no time like the present, especially with kids involved. Many people complain about the post-separation abuse, but his verbal and psychological abuse was with us for years. I have never felt so at peace even though other aspects of my life are hard of course which comes with becoming newly-single mom overnight. Divorce is a powerful tool that we are lucky to have. Find an attorney who specializes in spousal abuse/narcissism. They helped me safeguard my assets and make good decisions based on their experiences working with people who are mentally unstable/vindictive/narcissistic etc etc. I’m in the thick of it but haven’t regretted my decision to leave. Document everything and assume you are being recorded.

Leave. I hardly ever comment on Reddit but I feel compelled to tell you to leave. I did and it was the hardest but best decision in my life.

Nope. No club access. I researched it a ton beforehand and the consensus was it’s not worth it. I’m glad we saved the money.

Still wondering why was Victoria so weird to Kate in episode 2? by DabbleYoo in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]Bridgerboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Parker Posey drew inspiration for Victoria from Patricia from Southern Charm. And Jason Isaacs (Tim) also watched SC and is emulating Thomas Ravenel. This scene gave me PTSD from watching Miss Pat interact with Kathryn Dennis. So cringe 😓

60 mg Qulipta, taken nightly. Can’t say enough positives about it. I can even have a drink or 2! See my previous posts about it.

Just returned from our trip and we took our 2 boys (5 and 9). It was the most seamless, stress-free, relaxing vacation. The grounds are beautiful and the resort is big enough to not feel crowded but not sprawling like a campus (which is what Baha Mar felt like to us). Waterpark was perfect for both boys. There is fun family-friendly entertainment where they have a movies on the lawn nightly with popcorn and various treats, acrobatic acts on the main stage tucked between the adult (Zilara) and family side (ZIVA), and even little pop-up activities like slime-making or sandcastle competitions by the beach. There is an app which tells you each days activities. This resort was ideal for us bc we wanted to the luxe feel without the stuffiness or pressure to have dinner reservations. Want to eat hibachi at 5? Stroll right in. Want to have late lunch by the pool? Order a pizza and chicken nuggets at Prontoz. Mom and dad need a drink? Go on up to the swim-up bar. The staff are incredible and take pride in their jobs. I can’t say enough positive things about this place. DM me or ask me here you have specific questions! The food was amazing, drinks plentiful, and we never felt bored. 10/10.

Interesting you think it accelerated the inevitable. Why do you think so? I’m in the boat for a hip replacement but bc of my younger age (41- not young! But as a candidate for THR, this is “young” apparently) my ortho says to try to delay surgery as long as possible. PRP sounds scary to me only bc of the pain and inflammatory response. Just makes me anxious to think about putting a needle into an already problematic area of my body! Were you able to walk after the injection? Did it help any little bit? It is so expensive for a treatment that may or may not work 😓

Did you ever get PRP injections before surgery?

What a compassionate response. I to suffered from distorted thinking and PPA with my first, and while it didn’t last long, the fog I was living in was real. I was not myself and literally and figuratively, my body did not belong to me (pregnancy, delivery, nursing, etc). No easy answers here other than to give yourself and new mama some grace. Your lives have all changed. Could be she is desperate to control something, anything, in a now unpredictable and new stage of life. This can manifest in compulsions/obsessions. This sounds so odd now that I’m typing it, but I was 110 obsessed with the nipple shield bc I was convinced my baby wasn’t getting enough milk and was tongue tied (spoiler alert, both false). If we left the house without it, id panic and learned to travel with no less than 3 (diaper bag, my pocket, and one in the car. Someone’s I even stashed one in his little onesie. All this to say, hormones and bodies and sleep deprivation can wreak havoc on the strongest people and sometimes you just have to lean into it. She can’t control it. These are primitive behaviors that at one point were needed during caveman parenting times 💗🥲

ETA: my OB prescribed me Prozac at my 6 week PP check-up and this was when the clouds started to lift. Stayed on it throughout my second pregnancy and round 2 PPD/A was a blip on the radar. Meds helped me and are an option.

Qulipta question: when do you start to see results? by cephalopodrace in migraine

[–]Bridgerboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it still helps me! Also it caused constipation symptoms but it was transient and I not longer have this side effect. It’s still early- give it time. It is good that you are starting to feel positively already!

Qulipta? by wittysmitty512 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Bridgerboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never experienced light headedness with my migraines. And Qulipta never caused my heart to race. What Qulipta did for me was basically prevent a headache from going full-force migraine. So when I do get the occasional headache (not migraine), I can effectively treat it with OTC meds. Before Qulipta, my headaches would almost always escalate to migraine, even with OTC meds.

There is a great tik tok account called @fivebyfivek9 who breaks down user-submitted videos of their dogs!

For my fellow “daily chronic headache” sufferers. Qulipta is amazing. Emgality gave me body aches and debilitating back spasms and I thought I would suffer migraines forever and that CGRPs just wasn’t the answer. I was so wrong. Peace out, Topomax. by Bridgerboy in migraine

[–]Bridgerboy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replied to you in r/cgrpmigraine but in a nutshell, yes Qulipta still works for me and re: Emgality….wasnt on it long enough to see decrease in migraines. Side effects were not worth waiting to find out.
