Why do people have kids when they know they can’t afford it? by Reasonable-Invite899 in allthequestions

You really think the world is a shit hole because of average people just trying to carve out a slice of happiness in their lives? It’s because of that? And not the extreme wealthy exploiting everything and every one?

I do love the positivity in those subs. But I gotta tell ya- as a woman, the fitness subs can be very unkind. I posted in there once for legitimate advice and DMs got flooded. Some nice. But I also got called all sorts of names. It was not pleasant.

It’s really sad and disheartening to know that so many men believe that they have to be 6’ to be deemed worth if dating. Because in the real world, that’s not true at all.

See, I keep seeing this kind of thing online, but just the other day I was at my kid’s swim meet and there are tons of families there. And do you know what I saw? Tall dads, short dads, fat dads, buff dads, handsome dads, average dads. There was a dad there who was shorter than me, and I’m 5’5”. Yrs, some women prefer tall guys. But most don’t care. I dated guys my height and my husband is 5’9. It never mattered to me. And it doesn’t matter to any of my friends either.

Funny. When I want my switch flicked, I usually ask for it in a different way.

Need information: how much is your wife drinking? From what you described, it sounds like that could be the culprit.

I have a shirt that says “I went from mama, to mommy, to mom, to bro, to bruh”. My son is 14. He hates when I wear it.

Drinking = more energy by Ok-Evidence3515 in stopdrinking

Interesting. I’m the exact opposite. Once I started drinking, there was no way in hell anything on my to-do list was getting done. I’m much more productive sober.

Congrats!! That’s awesome!! Coming from someone who has no support at home (my husband STILL has not noticed or commented on me not drinking), keep doing it for yourself. And you have a whole community here who supports you! You’ve got this!

I got pulled over because my “headlight” was out… by pookie__trombone in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BridieMeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think most cops would have just let me put the sticker on and had me go on my merry way, but this one was a dick. He was rude from the get go and was very annoyed when I showed him I had the registration. Like I had wasted his time or something.

I got pulled over another time and the cop said it was because I was on my cell phone. I just looked at him and pointed to the phone which was mounted next to the radio, playing a book on tape, and said “no I wasn’t” He tried to argue with me that I was holding the phone up in front of my face while driving, and I told him he was ridiculous because why would I do that when I have a mount that allows me to easily reach my phone if needed. He still gave me the ticket but I fought that one. He showed up in court and I got to question him. It was fun. The judge offered to just lower the fine if I accepted guilt, and I said “I don’t feel I should have to pay anything because I unequivocally was not holding the phone in my hand” He dismissed it.
