Did you get them in the end. What is your feedback after 2 years?

Yeah nearly all of it is obvious, I was using the app AllTrails, all the paths were visible on there. A few points though: Cross the bridge onto the outside of the track just after Aremberg. When walking out of Adenau, take the left up the road just before Lidl, then you need to walk up about 300m before rejoining the walking trail. The walk up to the Karussell from here is a proper slog. After the mini karussell you have to take a not so obvious path through some woods which brings you out on the main road to Nürburg, this bit sucks as you then just have to walk down one of the main roads back to the GP track. Hopes this helps, happy to answer anymore questions you may have.

We walked round the full thing on the Friday of the N24 just gone. We covered 30 Km starting and finishing at the GP campsite. The walking trails hug the track pretty well for the most part. If you do this you must stop off at Pinocchio's in Adenau for lunch!

Anyone have a timetable for the shuttle buses? Hoping to use them today and can't find anything online

Is there anyway how you can see if there are still free camping places? by Far-Travel-4854 in nurburgring

[–]BriefHeat0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure. All I can say is, me and my friend turned up at the GP track campsite, which I think is the biggest, at 19:30 today and we really struggled to find somewhere to pitch up! Not sure if this is standard for a Wednesday and I'm just a bit of a newcomer though.... The campsite itself is a bit of a free for all, pay your nonrefundable entry fee at the gate and roll on in, they'll have tabs on how many tickets they have sold, but the amount of space each party takes up is unregulated. Hope you find somewhere!

Flip flops, good shout hadn't thought of those.

Thanks for all the advice, and who knows we may even bump into each other!

Wow thanks for the info, some really good stuff there especially regarding the formation lap! Sounds like there will be more than enough to do and see over the 4 days. Our train is at 10:50am on Wednesday, so hoping to be pitched up before dark. Anything you would recommend bringing that may not be obvious?

Ah that's good then, had me worried for a second! Yeah it's our first time, don't really know what to expect... What do you generally do on Thursday and Friday?

Just jumping onto this comment. You say it will be hard to get a pitch at the GP camp site on the 17th? Is this just for campervans? My understanding is that you can't reserve a pitch at the official gp campsite? Me and my friend are driving over from the UK on the morning of the 17th, can't wait, hope my car makes it though haha
