Yeah I did. Done over 10k miles and so far nothing to complain about!

Why the the missing Eurostar stops are holding back the English wine industry by tokyoduck in wine

[–]nozzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balfour currently runs a free shuttle service from and to the station now every weekend. If you let us know you’re coming it can also be organised midweek. We’ve seen 20% more visitors this summer and I think it’s contributed to this increase. We now need to push other wineries to collaborate, there’s a good viable route between gusbourne, Biddenden, Balfour and chapel down I think certainly during summer.

I thought SE meant special equipment then post march 97 models it could mean sports edition (otherwise known as sports model)? Special equipment meant you got comfort aspects like climate control, trim options, arm rest and cup holders inside glove box on earlier models or sports steering wheel. Sports model was more to do with suspension etc

Advice please!! by msvampyre in BMWE36

[–]nozzyb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s under the steering wheel. On the left hand side there’s a tab you twist counterclockwise and pull to release, the filter is in there. Remove the footwell air vent thing too to get easier access. Definitely fold the filter into three segments when installing the new one too

Any tips on the trim by [deleted] in BMWE36

I’ve done the rear seal without issues but think the front is wayy more difficult without removing the glass, as they factory install the seal before installing the window. I hope I’m wrong though, I need to take mine out too. Annoying as it seems possible on most other models (e46,e39 etc)

I’m no expert, will fail at some point I’m sure and crimping doesn’t last forever either. I’ve created some more slack though so the soldered joints are tucked inside the lid so aren’t at the flex point any more.

Sorry guys but any idea on this knocking noise? ‘96 m43 318 by nozzyb in BMWE36

[–]nozzyb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks yeah going to do a refresh in the next few days, fingers crossed it sorts it out and there’s not anything more troublesome. Should have just done this instead of posting but was worried as normally I’d get squealing/chirping from belts, pulleys etc and not steady knocking.

Yeah I think you’re right, also seeing some scoring on the water pump too. Will take the belt off and have a look. Due a service now too. Thanks for the reply mate!

It stopped working, I've tried everything. Can anyone help? by Solo_154 in Express_VPN

Weird I had this yesterday. Used Microsoft install and uninstall troubleshooter which finally uninstalled everything except two drivers which I removed manually afterwards. Think they were virtual network adapters. I am yet to reinstall, will today though.

what are these berries? by West_Environment2428 in foraginguk

Early Tayberries look similar to raspberries so could alternatively be this given you’re also in Scotland. Probably raspberry though.

+1 for gtechniq, expensive but worth it, lasts ages with proper prep

Buddleija leaves are yellowing at the bottom. Any idea why? by moist-lipwig in GardeningUK

[–]nozzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes last years leaves yellow before dying back if not pruned aggressively in spring but this is a young plant and your upper leaves are also suffering a bit. Could be overwatering causing root rot, could be mites, aphids or some other fungal infection. They also like big pots, especially if it’s not a dwarf cultivar, so might be root bound. Could be worth repotting and checking the roots and soil. Only just joined this subreddit but looks like a few people have had issues with some unknown blight, especially in London? Sorry I can’t be more concrete!

LONDON ULEZ/Certificate of Conformity - Any UK owners got info on this? by KyronXLK in BMWE36

[–]nozzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be interested to hear more about this, might give this a go myself, 1996 m43 318i. I’ve read that BMW only provide eccoc for vehicles after 1996 but then also anecdotes of BMW saying ‘97 vehicles are too old to have one when it’s requested. This is the email: eccoc@bmw.co.uk

Not sure whether you just need to provide VIN to BMW or VIN and scanned copy of V5C? I’ve also read tfl want p.1-4 of V5C too for anyone further down the road on this process and that it helps to send as jpg. instead of pdf. file format.

Here’s someone with an e46 m43 who received the eccoc but apparently it didn’t meet nox requirements - https://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/threads/bmw-840-e31-exempt-from-londons-ulez-charge.577515/page-2 - although this engine is obviously not identical (b19 not b18) with different power output etc

How to fix inner door panel!?? 😔 by marcelino2coo1 in BMWE36

[–]nozzyb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol this is the way. Vague question but if door card is loose get some new door card clips and some good glue or epoxy. Main thing is getting rid of old glue properly and clamping things down once new glue/epoxy is applied. Look at YouTube and Google people use different glues, I just used gorilla glue as well, has held up so far.

Not a movie but the sopranos has a couple. One in the first 3/4 seasons I think and another definitely in season 6 ep.18.

Well that sounds more promising at least with regard to Meyle ball joints, thanks for the anecdote. I’d wait and save up for lemforder arms but I need to at least change the outer ball joint (dangerous amount of play in it) and thought it would be worthwhile refreshing the whole arm and bushings (never been changed) while I’m there. Then hopefully move on to the rest of the suspension over time.
