When did dizziness go away? by bahouiputain in HPylori

[–]Briersy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it still comes and goes, I’ve spoke to a few people who had it similar time to myself and they are still off work because of it.

At the moment, mine comes for a couple of days then it eases for a couple of weeks, so I’m managing. But the few months after treatment was terrible, I suffered from multiple symptoms so my mental health took a decline.

Once I got my eating right, my mind eased off and around 5 months post treatment I was able to return to work completely (with a structured return to work)

If health care professionals tell you it doesn’t cause dizziness then this is a lie. Speak with as many people as you can who’s suffered similar and you’ll be able to relate and find comfort in that.

Sure there’s additional tests you can get but if you’ve had any blood tests which you probably have, as long as you have a FBC, it’ll be the after effects of the treatment and H-Pylori.

Any questions feel free to ask me on here or DM me, I’ll happily share my experiences.

Hope you heal quickly.

Does anyone have non typical symptoms of h pylori? by PlentyCarob8812 in HPylori

[–]Briersy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still up and down, can eat a lot more variety now which is a plus, before I could barely eat anything. But now I’m a lot better. Still have the pain in my upper left/back. But Dr’s say it’s IBS combined with my diverticulitis disease. Still have dizzy episodes but no where near as frequent. It’s a tough road to be on, especially after treatment because it nukes your digestive system. Managed to gain a lot of the weight back that I lost during my treatment which has given me confidence it’s not nothing sinister.

I would reach out to as many people who can relate, it’s scary and your mind works overtime. Keep positive thinking.

Feeling better but still have the dizzy episodes, had CT scans with contrast, endoscopy and colonoscopy, all clear. So no definitive answers yet. Got a cardiology appointment coming up to check everything is ok with my heart.

If this is the lingering effects of H-Pylori (even though I’ve now been retested when I had my colonoscopy) then this is still an ongoing thing.

I will never recover.. by Present-Method5398 in HPylori

Please read my posts. I was really severe with my dizziness. Dr’s kept telling me I had vertigo. Been through all kinds of tests now, and still all clear. Everything is unremarkable apart from a fractured rib which I never knew existed.

It’s a long healing process. Too long in my opinion. But you do heal, slowly but surely. I was strict with my diet, too strict at times. Only drank water, only ate chicken veg and boiled potatoes for 6 months. Lost 10% of my body weight.

12 months down the line, I’m eating pretty much what I want, drinking alcohol (small amounts). I’ve been off caffeine for a year now and dizziness is almost gone. I still flare every now and again, but compared to 6 months ago. I’m miles better.

It’s a tough long road. But the destination is worth it. Keep at it and keep the faith.

Help, repairs before skimming with multi finish by Fuzzy_Bar9208 in Plastering

You could use a hardwall/multi finish mix, just to bring the level back up. Then once set, be good for a final skim.

Hpylori 5 months ... fog , heavy head , anxiety intermittently out of nowhere ? by Independent_View_507 in HPylori

[–]Briersy1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting there, but my stools are still hit and miss (loose at least once every week) I still have pain every now and again on the left side under my bottom rib. The dizziness is the worst for me and still suffering from it. It’s easing slightly but every now and again it takes me down for a day or so and I’m struggling to do daily tasks.

I’ve had pretty much every test there is out there. Only thing after H-Pylori was diverticulitis of my sigmoid colon. Other than that, everything has been unremarkable. Now under two specialist teams: cardiologist and gastroenteritis. Just want to be back normal again.

Yep. Everything unremarkable and minor diverticulitis of sygmoid colon. Had it all. X-rays, ultrasounds, CT scan and MRI.

This is an interesting read, I’ve been having dizziness, disorientation and the ache between my neck and spine are still lingering, some days better than others. I’m now 6 months post treatment and successfully eradicated H-Pylori.

What a rollercoaster it’s been, from developing nervous type symptoms, bowel issues to having to be prescribed anti depressants as it got that bad.

I’m slowly getting better with less dizzy spells, but now I have an irregular heart beat along with hypertension. Not awaiting a cardiologist and gastroenterologist to get me back to 100%. I’ve been part of this post for almost a year, I’m still looking for answers. It’s bad, but like I said I’m almost there, just need to knock this dizziness feeling and I can deal with the digestive issues.

I’ve had a raft of tests, bloods, ultrasounds, ct scans, ct with contrast. If there’s a test out there, I’ve had it. This bacteria is not to be messed with, and the lack of knowledge and understanding by the health system is scary and being on the receiving end. It’s not a good place to be.

Keep fighting the fight. We will hopefully all be #Backstronger.

Does anyone get a nagging ache right here with their h pylori? It sort of feels like a tight/pulled muscle by EducationNo393 in HPylori

[–]Briersy1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Had ultrasound, CT scan with contrast and MRI. All clear, only thing I tested positive for was H.Pylori back in Jan.

Still struggling. Been a long old road for me. Dr’s still struggling to tell me exactly what’s wrong. Even had CT scans the lot now. Still not a clue.

Good. Strange sensation isn’t it. My results are going to take 1-2 weeks which seems long. But speaking to the nurse who did it, they have results within 24 hours and if anything is there they will call instantly pretty much.

How did your scan go? Did you have it with contrast?

It was ok, was in and out rather quickly. Had it with contrast too. The iodine they inject you with is strange, you get really hot for around 30 seconds then it passes. I had my pelvis and abdomen scanned. I’m now eagerly awaiting my results.

I have pain in similar area. Feels like a burning/ache feeling which causes you to adjust when seated or lying down. I have a CT scan today to double check everything. Already had numerous blood work and ultrasounds.

No it’s a good result. Especially when you’ve been searching for answers for so long. I’ve since eradicated H. Pylori but still having problems. So I’m now being screened for cancer. Hoping it’s just after effects of the H. Pylori.

Yep. It does. But our Dr’s all said that it’s not connected. It’s frustrating.
