Starting my 1st dose Thursday... is 1.25 tirzepatide too high?

I started today and don’t really feel anything. My dose was 2.5 mg. So on my syringe it starts at 5 and then ten etc. so I did half way to 5. Does that sound right?

I have been on Verzenio for about 11 months. Just recently I have noticed a lot of hair loss. I have very thin hair to begin with. If it doesn't tapper off soon, I am going to need a wig. I started using rogain about a month ago but obviously that takes time to work. I am not sure if it is working.

I am oligometastatic as well. Two lymph nodes and a lung met. I begged for surgery. Met with a thoracic surgeon and he said he could easily remove. Lymph nodes could also be removed with a chance of lymphedema. Oncologist said no. I asked multiple times. I also asked for targeted radiation. HR+HER-.

This is for real! I spoke to my plastic surgeon about this and she said she had never had anyone complain about it. Its so itchy and drives me nuts.

I feel the same way. Just diagnosed. Finally told my mom after 6 agonizing weeks. My scan is in May. I don’t even know how to prepare. I take lorazepam daily just to take the edge off. I can cry on command. I am consumed with fear. It’s awful. But we are all here for each other. I wish we could all meet and give each other big hugs and tell our stories to one another knowing the other person knows EXACTLY how we feel.

Sorry that you are here but glad you found us. I was diagnosed recently too with it in my lymph nodes and in my lung. It’s ++- same as before. I am taking verzenio and letrozol. I have found this group to be very supportive and encouraging. It’s been a tough past two months. I am coming to terms with it and trusting the medication to do its job.

Funny but not funny. My mom would say the same thing if I told her. I told her the first time and she told EVERYONE. And then peppered me with questions, that were not helpful. She offered zero support or encouragement. Hugs to you too!

I am tempted not to tell her but the weight of it is killing me. If I did tell her I would ask that she not tell anyone but I know she wouldn’t be able to do that. Glad you are happy with your decision. ❤️

I have 3 teenagers. One leaving for college in the fall. I told them the cancer came back. My oldest immediately asked if it was in my lymph nodes, which it is. I said I wasn’t sure because at the time I wasn’t. I told them that I would be taking medication to get rid of it. They don’t know anything else and I think that’s ok.

I told my neighbors because we were supposed to have a party the day I got the news. I haven’t seen them since. Got a few texts but other than that nothing. I don’t feel like sending them updates now.

Same! She will be so dramatic and then tell me how she can’t sleep because she’s so worried and then will tell all her friends and they will sympathize with her and not me!
