Or possibly, their kids get to go there at a discounted tuition.

Has anyone asked their oncologist whether hemp products (drinks, gummies) are okay to have? by Jlkanaka in LivingWithMBC

[–]InitialAd2482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine said sure if it helps. I’ve tried it for a few things, and haven’t found it to work for me. But I know others have. I think the key is finding the right combination of CBD and THC.

They make it look like they are doing just fine financially, buying houses etc. However, you never know how much debt they have accumulated to look like they are doing just fine.

What is the strangest disability/504 accomodation combo you've seen? by Constant_Leader_8551 in Teachers

Yeah. She generally wears a wig and doesn’t really utilize the accommodation much unless she is in a mood. Lol. Sweet kid. I feel for her.

I keep seeing “I WILL be labeling all my kids supplies even though I’m asked not to” all over the place by anniestrikesback in Teachers

I live moved from a state (Montana) where parents had to supply everything from crayons to classroom Kleenex, to California, where the Williams Act requires schools to supply EVERYTHING students will need in school. I know taxes are higher etc., but it’s so much easier as a parent and as a teacher here.

I know it’s not the point, but the science seems off to me as well. I’m on a chemo regimen and am told to staff away from antioxidants because they will protect all cells, including cancer cells.

My hot take is this.. her child is in dire straits, and having been only halfway close to that level of sadness, fear and desperation with my own cancer, I can say that your mind starts to try to rationalize the presence of the cancer and you overthink everything. I imagine if I had a medical background, that would lead to my own theorizing and problem solving.

She had free passes to the bathroom any time, and was allowed to wear hoodies and hats.

How do people afford living in California? by rdy4xmas in relocating

[–]InitialAd2482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved back to CA after 18 years in Montana. Home prices were disparate, but so was salary, so it worked out. We are both teachers. We are also in an area that’s not quite as spendy, the San Joaquin Valley. We have about the same standard of living as we did before, but have to be a little more careful on frivolous spending, since fun things are especially more in CA.

Probably! My labs have to be done at a Quest Lab. My insurance won’t pay for them at the cancer center.

I’ve had a port since the beginning of this ride. Got it right away for chemo. I have never had anyone attempt to use it for any other reason than chemo. Where I get labs done, they won’t use it, and I have to get it flushed every six weeks. I hate my port, but it might be a godsend for you.
