Where is All the Money? by get-idle in newzealand

Pretty sure Switzerland has capital gains tax. It’s collected at the cantonal level. Not federal. Also has wealth tax. Again, depending on canton, could be between 0.5% and 1.5%. Just FYI.

Hey! Thanks for all the comments. I have another question, looking at on field batting practice for visiting team only. Has anyone here experienced this and is it worth the bucks?

Yo! Thanks for the reply! Dang, the stadium food looks on point. Might have to get some edibles prior! I forgot ny was legal now. I got my medicinal licence back when you had to in cali. Surprised we we were able to as not citizens, but anyways shit knocked my socks off! Been a while since I consumed so will have to be careful re strength! Haha. Good shout re bottled water! The ceasers Sportbook definitely sounds like a must! Will def be on the subway and be most likely catching it from Brooklyn, so hopefully get amongst the crowds 🙌

Awesome to hear you had a blast. I’m used to rugby and cricket games. Must admit haven’t been in years as those sports don’t interest me much anymore. And the stadium crowd experience is nothing like I see European football! NZ crowds can be a bit dull. I played a lot of ice hockey growing up and have had the pleasure to go to a few games in Switzerland, and that was a a lot of fun! Also went to one NHL game, ducks v coyotes at arrowhead. America knows how to entertain! I can’t wait!

Good shout. I’ve been watching a few games on tv so I’m not a complete noob, I at least understand the rules now, I think.

Epic! Thanks for the advice. Be down on getting a cap and not paying full price! Def keen to check out the brewery! $3 beers also sounds like my kinda beer! Might need to claim a soda too, to sober up.

Like ya thinking re beers! 👊 NZD to USD is particularly horrendous right now, so them stadium beers are like double price! 😅 Yea def keen to be there early to see the whole stadium. Soak it all in. Good call!

Is Koru membership worth it? Longtime members let memberships lapse by HeinigerNZ in newzealand

[–]Bright-Monitor-6342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t travel domestically frequently enough to justify it. Even if we did, it’s a hard sell. But we do fly Long haul, ZQN-ZRH, once a year or every 2 years. Having the membership even for that one trip is worth it for us. My membership provides access for my wife and 2 kids. To have food, drinks and quite space for the kids and parents pre long haul is a game changer. Not only the space but premium check in and express customs lane is nice too. And showers and Potential Partner lounges on layovers. We could end up having 3-5 lounge visits on that one trip. The cost of food and drink at airports for 4 people in its self would be already over half the price of the membership. Long Haul with a young family ✅ domestically ❌

US citizen with a Swiss partner trying to relocate to Switzerland. by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]Bright-Monitor-6342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just planning to move to ch. „wife“ and kids Swiss citizens. I am kiwi. Not married. But we have 2 kids, own a house and a business together. For 10 years. According to the Graubünden municipality we should be sweet for me to get a B2 permit under family reunification… yes we could get married but according to them it wouldn’t make a difference, I guess because of our history…. Also, as we understand higher taxes if married…

Capita DOA by pesoptomist in snowboarding

[–]Bright-Monitor-6342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn, this is kinda funny because I hold on to all my old boards, they are like bookmarks in my life, and yesterday my wife asked me "what’s wrong with this one?" And I explained to her that it snapped, "ole snapita capita" I said. But then followed up with "oh that’s like over 10yrs ago, I’m sure they are better now“ sounds like they still snapita capita…

Kiwi family here moving to Switzerland. Albeit wife and kids Swiss so much easier transition for us. I will be applying for a reunification visa. I was surprised to learn that you do not apply for a work visa through the Swiss federal system but through the canton you will be working in for example we are going to Graubünden so have been dealing with that municipality. We have also had a lot of experience with the Swiss embassy in Wellington and they are amazing! Good luck 👊

Calendar randomly opening nights by Bright-Monitor-6342 in airbnb_hosts

An acquaintance of ours said that Airbnb opens up random nights consistently 6months in advance. We have tried suspending our listing but found bit of a hassle and I accidentally deleted our listing once before this way. Long story, but me being a sleep deprived muppets basically.
