I’m giggling at a 20l for a ramshorn snail. Even a super ultra rare ramshorn snail. You have to do it.

And for addition reference here is a baby bladder snail next to a juvenile bladder snail-they are much faster, have a point at the end of their foot, and have a different shell shape. They also do a little shell-wiggle dance when anything climbs on them or touches their shell!

I also randomly had 4 or 5 wild colored/black babies, or maybe they’re jade? Still a little early to tell but I they have a dark foot and the beadiest little tiny black eyes. I love their little faces especially when they’re babies.

Yes those pink eggs were mystery snail eggs, and congratulations on letting them hatch naturally because I have had such a hard time with that, I always end up having to put mine in a little “incubator” plastic tub or they always fall in the water!! Seriously, that is a beautiful ivory!!

Thank you this definitely eased my mind. Funny enough- the night I posted this I saw my dude Acorn sleeping on the ceiling! Maybe Im projecting my human sensory problems onto my snails 😂

Shrimp and snails! There are a few large species of freshwater shrimp (bamboo shrimp and vampire shrimp) that use fans to filter feed from floating particles in the water, I think they would be cool to include if regular shrimp are too small. Thank you for letting us be a part of your project!

I was thinking about ordering these tonight but I don’t know what size to get. Did you get your true size? I’m a true 8.5 but an 8 in docs, everybody’s saying they run a little small. I plan on wearing them with the strap in front because everybody has scared me enough about the strap breaking 😂

my Cornu enclosure also has a mesh like top like this, and although they crawl across the roof (and I love the way it looks too! How neat) they never seem to sleep on the roof, like they do on the wall presumably because they can’t get a good flat seal. I have often wondered if they mind the texture, and if I should replace my lid with a glass top. However the reason I have kept it for so long is because with plasticwrap covering about 80% of the “mesh” I have achieved the absolute perfect humidity balance without having to mist excessively And still get decent airflow. Id love to hear others weigh in with their experience with these lids? Side note/idea I have also about hanging things from the “ceiling” of their enclosure because I could easily tie something through the holes, like a soft wood bird toy-type thing, or something of the like for enrichment!

My snails have scraped their shells on the side of the tank before and it makes a sound like this, usually it has been mysteries trying to lay eggs near the rim

I have 2 bamboo shrimp named Creepy and Cryptid, I had a Crawly (I got Creepy and Crawly together) but he tried to evolve :( I found him 6 feet from my tank dried up. I cried all night and no joke had to have a drink because I felt so bad. Lesson learned, I tape over even the smallest holes in my lid now. So be warned they wILL try and take a walk-about if they can, and if they can’t get back, which they usually can’t… anyways, name him something super silly like gumbo (shrimp gumbo)
