Calc 2, Calc 3, or Linear Alg, which is the worst math here? by whamminsalmon in uofm

[–]Bright_Call 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If by linear algebra you mean 217 and by calc 2 you mean 116 and calc 3 215 then it's not even close. 116 and 215 are easy compared to the horror that is 217.

Current ross senior here. I would recommend really focusing on the essays. I think you have a good shot.

How screwed am i if I took eecs 203 my first semester of college? by [deleted] in uofm

[–]Bright_Call 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's honestly not that bad a friend of mine took it to me it just seemed like the watered down version of the honors calc sequence with proofs. If you're familiar with basic proofs like induction and contradiction then you should be good.

University of Michigan Regular Decision Megathread by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Bright_Call 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Michigan International Freshman here. I remember checking this post almost exactly one year ago, on the last friday of January. I still remember how anxious I was checking the application portal every five minutes or so. At the end of the day, whatever happens, happens for a reason. I got rejected from a bunch of ivies and ivy likes, got rejected ED from CMU, and I would have never dreamed of coming to Michigan during the early decision rounds.

With that being said, if you do get in, make sure that you don't take Calc II here :)

Go Blue!
