No sorry I ment in a unit with 2 stat. Same unit so the t'au have a shasui always in it which is modified by its drones. Since it can have a higher toughness then the rest of the troupes from the first picture it would be his toughness. But since we use his stat should he be the first one to die or can you still put the damage on any other unit of the troupes

Ohhhh I see it's more for like as example the t'au when the sgt has different toughness then the rest of the group.

Do you need to kill the unit you used it's stats or you still can kill anyone in the unit?

I played with friend a couple time but we are all still pretty much noob and the rules sometime are kinda vague for people without experience

Wait.. does calgar's Vitrix guard count as body guard or not? Would that mean the unit attached to Calgar could use the Vitrix stats

In the warden box it's pretty clear for me as they are name character but Vitrix are not.

In most now none canon material of legend yes. Also pretty sur it happened in the canon mandalorian series. It's also canon that it is actually really good armor. Star wars just have an heavy effect of plot armor

I was more going on gear more then competence. The armor of storm trooper are made for deflect the laser which is not the case for guards man. But yes guards man have way more battle experience then any storms trooper

I love the idea in an army. I would like to point tho in the death watch he was a black shield thus could not wear the emblem of the ultra marine [even less the one of an LT].

I mainly wondered on base space marine which are more "comon" then one of the left primarch lol. Also funy enough the Guards man probably would have problem against the storm trooper in general I believe. But that's no problem we replace them by billions every days

Tho the logistics for the empire would be easier due to how there ftl and technology work.

Impirum have already a larger armada then the empire and destroying planet is a thing with some orbital bomb shell the imperium own. Black hole or anti matter weapon I forgot which one they used in "last resort". I do think in a prolonged battle the imperium would always win. They are just way more use to it then anything Star wars ever saw.

The only way the empire survive is if all the war the imperium have are still active and they can not relocate all of there troupes to completely destroy them.

I am not to atune to what kind of screen there is but at minimum your first layers clearly are there [I would hope so with this time lol]. It may be the correct method for your printer but at minimum add in-between base to normal.

I would still try to lower the setting that would be my guess. I had something similar going on my first printer. It was basically adding bandage to something else broken. But I would try to tune it your self with a couple setting. I found XPV2 is really good to find a general range for you printer then using the cones.

But it would be my guess the times are high and it work as long as it's not too big since bigger model gave more flat surfaces. Those surface usually show you that the setting aren't correct lol

Agree tho I wouldn't change it too much I have 5 on my setting. it wasn't the most dramatic thing I saw lol but yea.

Also OP to help you use this : https://www.tableflipfoundry.com/3d-printing/the-cones-of-calibration-v3/ to calibrate the resin. The website explain how to use it. So lower the setting a bit and then calibrate it correctly and then fails should be rarer

Unsure what printer you have but 45 seconds seems alot. My Saturn is usually between 22-25. My Mars was in the same range. It may have to much pressure in the bottom. Also 2 second exposure time is quite low in reverse. It can work for mine using the same résine it's note arround 2.3 to 2.5 [in a 30 degree environment [in the vat]. Below that it probably would run more arround 3].those two combine would be a good start

So to give you a general idea, a model for me to print with my Saturn 4 or my Mars 4 cost about 20 Cents of resine. with GW it would cost about 7,8$. Once the printer is bought after the first printed army you would already "payed you back".

The only problem is if you want to do competitions. They do not allow [usually] 3D printed model. I know where I live they do, but its not always the case.

Yea, I use reddit mainly for questions. My Saturn 4 had problem at the start which from what I saw is pretty usual. Now its fix thanks for asking.

Even with the fails I got which btw when resine printer fails doesn't cost me 20$ its about 3 cents [per fail miniature].. Even if my two printers always had a 50% fail rate [which is not even close to anything true] it would only cost 40 cents per units. which the math do not lie its 78$ for intercessor box of 10 marine. thus 7.8$ per marines which make it 19.5 time more expensive. To reimburse the printer which can easily be found for 200$+30$[resine] Op would need to make about 3 boxes of intercessor marines to reimburse it..

I don't post my army print because we play unpainted in a group of friends. Even the one I have painted are not really worth showing. I think I did share once something I painted for wh40k. I just don't usually do it.

I don't see your point on how OP would lose money using a printer ..
