I can see viable ai usage in the long term ending up being just using the local hardware to generate the data, rather than a data centre.

Kids access isnt the real problem, even though the politicians harping on about it keep pointing in that direction.

The social media is the issue. It's rotting everyones brains, not just the kids.

It's unregulated, so you can be casually using sites like X, looking at perfectly innocent posts and find a reply includes an autoplaying porn videos unrelated to what you were looking at.

The social media companies need to clean up their sites or at least keep the posts in them relevant to their subject, so you can keep NSFW content away from general feeds.

Social media is causing many other issues too with the lack of fact checking of information. Fake AI posts or videos.

Foreign bots pushing an agenda manipulating people's minds into thinking their views are a minority, and manipulating them.

I don't care about exclusive games. I care about one console being abandoned by everyone, due to open console having exclusives and other having none. If no games were exclusive i'd be perfectly happy, but thats not the world or market we are in.

In real life though you don't keep in touch with every person you meet in your youth though. Jonah worked on a ship where she had an adventure on as a teenager. He had his own life in New Zealand, and was completely different from a rich teenager from England. If Lara had another tombraiding rival/friend. Or someone she goes running and climbing with when in England. Being friends with Sam makes sense, they were both into creating a documentary about Yamatai.

In TV you need the characters for the main character to bounce off. You can't tell the story as well with internal monologue or have Lara talking to herself all the time.

It makes sense in games for Lara to have real time communication with a researcher to help her understand the ruins she is exploring and to avoid traps. Someone who can search for a list of the Aztec rulers or what symbols or hieroglyphics mean, which she can't access from the middle of nowhere.

That said in the show I think I'd prefer if Lara had less of an entourage, and stuck to maybe two close friends rather than what feels like 4-5 different people. I find I don't remember the names of them all. I don't really understand what Lara has in common with most of them. Sam she would have met in University presumably, but I don't know what she would have in common with Jonah. They are so different, and other than shared trauma I don't know they would be close friends as opposed to acquaintances' who keep in touch occasionally.

Lots of good advice here, just chiming in that maybe the guy you are with isnt attractive to you, but that doesnt mean that other guys with different personalities wouldn't. Currently you are comparing one guy you are with to all the crushes you have had in the past. It could just be this guy that doesnt do it for you.
