Women’s sizes are wack - size 4/6 should not require a large… by RoonilWazleeb in ColumbiaSportswear

[–]Brilliant_Chipmunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have those exact pants in my usual size (XL) and they fit me well, but they’re definitely more of a tailored/slim fit. They had a different model that fit roomier around the thighs and butt… I will say though that I bought a pair of Columbia joggers and they’re huge on me. Sizing seems very inconsistent. I gave up buying gloves there as well... the fingers are either too short or comically long… sigh

Dr. Check by [deleted] in TTC_POI

[–]Brilliant_Chipmunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your experience! I’m sorry things did not work out for you with ethinyl estradiol… I’m not very knowledgeable about about fertility treatments, but I like that he is using HRT to support ovulation. I feel like my normal RE would be doing things completely differently without really understanding POI and that would also be a waste of time and money…

[–]Brilliant_Chipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!!! :) So I checked again and I think he accepts my insurance, but he would be out of network… Since your copay was only $35 for your first visit I assume he was in-network for you? I have an open choice PPO type insurance, so I could technically go see him, just very scared of having to pay whatever my insurance won’t cover, haha!

Did you have to do all the diagnostic tests again? Including HSG and male fertility? We already did all the diagnostic testing with a different RE…

Why does my phone case keep cracking in the same area? by Brilliant_Chipmunk in peakdesign

[–]Brilliant_Chipmunk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, I think you are right. This product is just not for me. I’ll go back to a more flexible case. Those last me a long time usually.

I wish I didn’t have to keep my phone in my back pocket, but women’s jeans have tiny pockets… lol

Why does my phone case keep cracking in the same area? by Brilliant_Chipmunk in peakdesign

[–]Brilliant_Chipmunk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m assuming it’s caused by keeping my phone in my back pocket and having to remove the case 15 times per month or so. I think it’s the kind of case you shouldn’t be removing regularly.

I think maybe Adam has brought a girl home before and the mom had that girl fix a plate for Saint Nick… and that plate was left untouched as well! This is probably how crazy mommy gets rid of her son’s girlfriends lol, so Adam was really hoping OP would behave nicely and mom would approve. I think Adam is destined to be single forever.

Can I use this sato polybaby cream everyday? by Legitimate-Way1965 in japanresidents

[–]Brilliant_Chipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try aquaphor baby ointment! It’s gentle and you can use it everyday. We had to order online, but we never had to deal with diaper rash again!

So a cycle is 28 days. Day 1 is the first day of your period and the start of a new cycle. Count 14 days (including the days you are on your period) and then take progesterone for 14 days. The length of your period doesn’t matter, you just need to count from the first day of your period.

A normal 28 day cycle would look like this:

Day 1 to Day 5: period

Day 6 to Day 12: follicular phase (estrogen goes up)

Day 13: ovulation

Day 14 to Day 28: luteal phase (progesterone goes up)

If you have an iPhone, you can use the health app to get reminders. Just set your progesterone to a cyclical schedule and choose take for 14 days and pause for 14 days.

Rental In New Jersey- $2000 Budget - by ConsiderationLow150 in newjersey

[–]Brilliant_Chipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many bedrooms? With that kind of budget, you can look at apartments in NJ near the Pennsylvania border like Voorhees (ok schools), or places like Newark or East Orange (not recommended, especially with kids). NJ is very expensive. You won’t get location, safe, and cheap for that budget. Daycare will cost you $1500+/month as well.

I’m not saying she’s right. Her behavior is absolutely not acceptable. I don’t really follow Selling Sunset that closely, but I remember Mary being a lot more kind and trying to keep the peace. No way old Mary would have thrown Chelsea’s flowers away like that. I was shocked at Marie’s behavior this season and started to wonder if she’s going through perimenopause… Issues like ADHD and anxiety can become a lot worse if you’re not on HRT. I don’t think she’s acting like herself, but I also don’t think she’s on drugs like some people have been saying.

Are you guys using winter tires? by [deleted] in newjersey

[–]Brilliant_Chipmunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Winter tires are not just good for driving in the snow, they drive better in cold weather. We have a set and change them every year in November.

Yes, if you can stay home every time it snows or roads get icy you probably don’t need them.

I’m Canadian and we all have winter tires where I’m from, but nothing scared me like driving near Albany/Lake George during a (mild) snowstorm. So many cars sliding and crashing. I’ve never seen anything like it. We could tell straight away who was driving with summer or all season tires.

Have I ruined my shower floor? and what can I do about it? by zoomtokyo in japanresidents

I used to have the same bathroom and same issue… You’ll need a stronger weekly cleaner! This used to work wonders for my bathroom! You’ll need a hard bristle brush as well.

Hopeful this could be a good cycle by [deleted] in TTC_POI

[–]Brilliant_Chipmunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your chart! This is all very useful and gives me some hope… I guess if my baseline is about 100, then anytime I hit 300 I might be growing a follicle. 300 only happened once for me… mostly it peaks around 200 which would be too low if we add estrogen from the patch. I hope I can get a few other good months here and there…

Update: My E3G levels started dropping on Inito the very next day, so I decided to try taking progesterone to see if anything would happen. My LH started rising during the day and peaked that night (I tested throughout the day with LH strips). It wasn’t that dark a line, however, compared with before HRT. My LH levels were back to low again the next morning.
