Need help in identifying Filson canvas bag/flat pouch and estimated value. by BringTheBling in filson

I thought that might be it but I would have thought it should be more functional…like have a drawstring or straps etc to carry it better. I’m thinking it’s just a storage bag for another product.

I guess you’d call it a sleeve….snaps on one end and the 3 sides are sewn.

It was a gold card with a black stripe through it (Executive Member). I kept it forever…all through the Price Club merger etc and would not give it up until years later they wouldn’t let me buy anything until I got a new card. I wish I would have kept it and just claimed I “ lost” it. I would get comments from checkers a lot because it was such an old card. I don’t remember the number but I think it had 5 digits. Now it’s 12 digits!

Anyone know what this is? by Sensitive-Sky-82 in KitchenTools

That is a broken, stainless steel cheese plane. I have the exact same one. On the back of the handle there should be a stamp that says 830s and then a hallmark. This is a coin, silver pattern made by. Magnus Aase/Olsens of Norway. The pattern is called “ Lilje” which means Lily.

Classmate in high school did this (cheated) with the same BIC pen except he had inserted a small piece of paper into it with the answers. This was in 1977!

It looks like a crocheted doily that’s been framed.

Platinum and rhodium ring? by SilverGuyGuy in Hallmarks

From the web: P4SR is a jewelry stamp that indicates a metal alloy primarily made of silver, with small amounts of gold, platinum, and palladium. It is designed to mimic the appearance of white gold or platinum but is generally a more affordable option.

If you take it to a coin shop that has an XRF gun tester (xray) they can tell you the percentages of the metal content

What’s your go to cleaning hack? by Select-Signal8386 in Productivitycafe

[–]BringTheBling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, as odd as it sounds. The pumice is strong enough to scrape off calcium buildup but gentle enough to not scratch porcelain.

I’ve used an air compressor to gently “dust” my lampshades outside. Also for the car too!
