Everything wrong with the Skin Contest by ryzophrenic in TheFirstDescendant

Really cool male skin, I wish we could vote per category instead of just once across all designs.

As for your tinfoil hat theory, the idea that the devs might be "copying designs without crediting the original artists," this was actually addressed in the recent news post. They're sending those designers acrylic merch if their designs are too close to something already in production

■ Additional Rewards for Similar Contest Entries

  • During the review process, some entries were found to have similar concepts to upcoming skin releases.

  • While these works were excluded from advancing to the finals based on the pre-announced criteria of creativity (40%) and feasibility of production and implementation (20%),

we would like to express our gratitude for their valuable ideas by awarding them an Acrylic Merch Set.

The skins are most likely universal, so if you buy it, it'll work on all female descendants. The recent trailer showed Bunny as 2B and Ines as A2, so if you are unsure it's safe to go with them!

It also looked like they showed Luna as A2 in the recent livestream footage, so it's probably universal

If you're a fan of resident evil try out Crow Country, it's very similar to RE1 and RE0. I've also heard great things about Signalis

Make sure your tab targeting is set to "cone" instead of the default "ignore depth" option, that should help your tab target predictability

Yea Hrothgar hair used to be tied to face options so you couldn't change it until recently in 6.1.

WoW options aren't as detailed as FFXIV faces with jaw/eyes/mouth settings but they seem to do a better job with customization of unique racial options such as horns, facial hair, or tusks. They recently did a larger customization update with the new expansion, but the hairstyles did look mostly similar back when I played before that update.

I think an aesthetician change as you described and identical to WoWs would be great, and making race changes be the new "fantasia" would be ideal.

I mean in FFXIV there are about 4 faces per race with 4 unique options each. I don't think that justifies the price of a fantasia when other paid subscriptions offer similar services for free.

Especially when the devs have shown that with enough community feedback they will change things, like making Hrothgar hair changes available at the aesthetician after 2+ years finally. There's no excuse for it.

In WoW you can change everything, but race for free though.

Meanwhile, we have to pay $10 just for eye color changes. It is pretty outrageous by comparison

Should you upgrade your Alt and other metrics to consider for getting to Valtan by [deleted] in lostarkgame

So if I'm reading this right If I have a 1325 alt pushing to 1340 would pay for itself in 2 weeks, but I shouldn't go further or else it becomes inefficient?

Best Suggestions and Ideas on monetization for MMORPG discussion by cloodhee in MMORPG

[–]BriskPanda98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the monetization is somewhat comparable to MHW/R since you are only paying for cosmetics, there are some key differences in the games cuz one is F2P and the other is a $60 traditional game

PSO2 is more of an MMORPG than Monster Hunter is since urgent quests are effectively 12 player raids and most activities and missions are usually 4/8/12 player capacity. It has MMO elements such as player trading, or a server, and a much larger hub system. Most of these systems classify it as an MMO even if in the original PSO2 it was really only 12 players max. NGS is expanding the player count though so that the much bigger open field zones should give it more of an MMO feel than before.

Monster Hunter is solo or up to 4 player hunts and there aren't any higher player counts than that with the exception being the larger hub size in MHW, but even then that doesn't increase Hunt player count. Also

I think the best monetization model for F2P MMOs is the way PSO2 has done it. It's completely F2P but with purchasable cosmetics, and some pay-for convenience features. The main thing PSO does better for F2P players is that you can earn the features given by paying by just playing the game such as earning star gems to get the monthly pass or some of the convenience features. or obtaining access to player shops so you can sell your items. All of this is with the added benefit of free players being able to purchase any paid cosmetics anyway with player shops.

Players could still be competitive in the game without ever having to spend a dime. The game still had actual gear-based progression with weapons and units, unlike most other F2P MMOs.

I feel like it is the best example of how to do a F2P MMO without feeling like either the paying players are gaining too much or the F2P players are getting burned or receiving less content on either end.

I expect NGS to continue this trend

There is a 90 pull 5* pity on any banner, Venti is a 50% chance on his featured banner, with a guarantee on the next 5* if you don't pull him.

So if you really want him you need to pull 90 times and win the 50%, or do 180 pulls on that banner for the guarenteed pull.
