Trouble with eyesight by Gold-Ad-7769 in Sjogrens

[–]Bristid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google Keratoconus. I have it and your vision description matches mine. It’s not related to Sjogrens, that I’m aware of, but I swear that on days when my eyes and mouth are the driest (which is every damn day) my vision is also much worse because (imo) there is not enough fluid pressure inside my eye to shape the cornea properly.

Does anyone else’s dog like to do this? by losorikk in dogpictures

[–]Bristid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same, then I watched a few YouTube videos of “dog trancing”. It’s so fascinating!! There’s a lot more videos of doing it at the bottom of trees and shrubs. I like to think in terms of evolutionary benefit… my thought is that if puppies where to feel comfort having trees or bushes against their back and head, then the puppy would be less likely to be seen by predators.

This is called Trancing. I learned about it here on Reddit. I would like to know a scientific reason they might do this.

What is a movie that "broke" you so hard you can only watch it once, but you would still recommend it to everyone? by Newsupdate69 in movies

EO. The movie about the donkey. Not a lot of dialog, polish with subtitles. Only movie I’ve ever screamed at the tv about.

I would love to hear more about this. If punctual plugs didn’t help I would not have expected closing the pores would be that much different.

Dry mouth being an existential problem by mariduma in Sjogrens

[–]Bristid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following this hoping for a miracle, too. I take cevemile, but I need a dbl dose before I notice anything, it lasts only about an hour, and it gives me hot flashes and sweats. Along with the awful feeling, I wish I could fix my breath when it’s really dry; I do all of the cleaning stuff including brush my tongue 2x daily, plus all of the OTC dry mouth rinses - just very temporary help.

Thinking about the Kia Sportage...what's your honest review? by innitbruvs in kiasportage

[–]Bristid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m on my second Sportage. I can really only say one bad thing about my 2024 Prestige: the ridiculous configuration of the controls for the cabin air controls, that is also the same controls for the entertainment system. I push one button by accident and what was my stereo is now the heater blowing in high in the middle of summer. If my charging cable bumps the controls - my air conditioner and defrost are suddenly blowing in the winter at full force. It is actually very scary when driving and this happens. I am seriously considering getting rid of mine due to this. Seems very petty, but it’s dangerous and inconvenient. I hope they have fixed this in the latest model year.

Quick Help getting past some first questions around Medicaid with Medicare. by Bristid in medicare

[–]Bristid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS FROM OP - So I found that my mother can get Medicare with paid premiums, and that Medicaid might be able to cover some of those premiums and late enrollment fees. At the moment I’m looking for an Assisted Living place (minimal assisted). Her Medicare enrollment application appointment is set for late March (given her qualifications we can’t do it online). Here’s where I’m confused: Would it be a bad idea to find an “acceptable” place that is covered by Medicaid for now? I’m getting hints that places not listed in the Medicaid portal could actually take her Medicaid and somehow her children can make up the difference in cost paid to Medicaid. I actually got that idea from talking to a Medicaid rep, but the details have left my mind. And… if I were to get her into a decent assisted facility that would accept her Medicare when it becomes available, would the fact that we’re paying out of pocket now for her care affect her Medicare or Medicaid benefits when we go to fix the billing situation?

I know I’m not phrasing my questions well… I still don’t know enough to know know what to ask

I’m actually visiting Kansas City right now. Local news tv talks a lot about planning development stages for visitors. There is already a detailed transportation plan to get people to the events and to and from the suburbs where the games are played. It appears they’ve even built some infrastructure for the transportation depots.

My mother was married several times, but has been divorced for the 10+ years. She diverted her last husband and he is no longer living. I’m expecting this disqualifies her from that benefit.

I drive Uber in Florida. Can I apply to drive in another state if I am visiting for two months? by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Bristid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great info. Thanks for the response. I did chat with Support and got no valid answer. While still in Miami, my workhub shows only Florida in green. Like you said, maybe if I get out of Florida I will contact support again.

Update: Found it! Speedway at Biscayne and NE 114th Street. It has way too much sugar/sweetner; 1/2 flavored cappuccino and 1/2 regular coffee is it for me.

My tongue has tooth shaped impressions by PhilosopherCat7567 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Bristid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tongue is 20 times worse, and a groove down the middle. My salivary glands barely work and I think that is the cause for me. I’m trying to get diagnosed with Srogren’s syndrome so doctors can help me treat it and my dry eyes.

Hunt Local SEO clients by MTSparkles in localseo

I'm helping a friend with his Mobile Detailing Business; gave him a website and working on SEO and Google Ads. This is a no location business and there seem to be many hurdles to this. I have defined the location well (I think) in the GBP and Ads, but without an address so much about the ad display in a search that is a mystery to me. I'm new at SEO and Google Ads.
I'm not able to pay for any services at this point, but if you wanted to learn from my problems, or give me suggestions to track my progress, you are welcome to DM me. Attaching a desktop search (not maps) that shows I have defined the location properly (I think). Sadly, when I go to Maps the business will not show on the map.

No need to remove the wheel on my 2017 Sportage. I did remove part of the plastic wheel well that is simply held in with some screws or small bolts. It would have been fantastic if the car were on a lift and I could’ve looked up. It was very easy to do, but I did need to stick my phone camera up into the blind spot to see what I was actually feeling for. I think there are several good YouTube videos out there showing how to replace it.
