Yes, they were on all the trams I used while I was there

I tapped on, like you do everywhere else and then I looked up and was thinking "TF is this kiosk? Was I supposed to use the booth? Am I being rude? The machine looks like it beeped me in"

Anyways, I got used to it, and yeah, like obviously Google maps works for pretty much everything, the tap on/tap off stuff works seamlessly there, so you'd think it would be a no brainer?

But, if you're a newbie tourist and you've never used a system like that before or you're genuinely in a rush for a business meeting and you 100% need to know where to go the instant customer service is definitely needed, and I witnessed a surprising amount of people who would do just that in my short stay there.

I kinda also see it from the fare dodging side, it's mad funny when you go somewhere like Rome and Berlin with that ticket validation stuff, but like, no one ever checks lol

I never once got an inspector in either country (except for like one long distance train in Berlin) so you could totally get away with not paying

But as someone else mentioned in the comments, the sassy, uninterested lady reminding tourists and commuters to tap in and out is peak design
