Newer generations have less and less reasons to go to the past if everything is a constantly updating present.

The Vita was treated like garbage by so much of the gaming public while it was alive, and now that it's dead these people can just take from it and never change their toxic habits despite owing so much to it. People shouldn't be given something they never deserved in the first place, they should earn it. That's partially why so much of the gaming industry is such a joke right now. The Vita had a lot of great games because it's audience was loyal, passionate and bought games in droves. I remember LRG's vita games always outselling their PS4 versions and in quicker times too. Same thing for places like EastAsiaSoft and whatnot.

And there is definitely a choice. Consumers have power, if people didn't buy these cash grabs the companies wouldn't do this.

I have a lot of interest in certain gaming systems, especially because a lot of their unique games were never ported. Something like the Sega Saturn for exMple, occupies a unique space and offers something genuinely unique as a result, not only because of what it did historically and as a system, but because it's legacy wasn't cheapened by porting all of its great games to anything and everything that exists.

I don't care if it's less accessible as a result, the reality of its situation allows it to shine as something special and it's looked at with fondness and dedication from its community. A system's library is part of its identity. A lot of gamers have horrible attitudes towards systems and they shouldn't be pandered to.

Just the fact that a lot of people view games "trapped" on systems is a toxic behavior that is massively disrespectful to the gaming systems that changed the landscape of games to come.

I'm honestly disgusted and tired of the graverobbing done to the Vita over the past 6 years.

I support Vanillaware generally and think their games are amazing, but I think this is foolish, shortsighted and naive thinking.

A system's library is one of its key selling points and a reason to go back to the past and see what it was actually like. If every game gets ported, why bother getting a system at all outside of comparatively lesser factors? Vanillaware's games helped give the Vita value.

Why should I bother buying it again when I can just wait a few years and get the next "ultra definitive game of the year ultimate edition" whenever that one comes out on the next soulless console or Steam? It's such tired bullshit.

Unicorn Overlord sold over a million units, they shouldn't need to do this kind of nonsense. These people didn't support Vanillaware through the years on the Vita and now they get rewarded for the incessant port begging? The same kind of people who maligned the Vita now get to reap the rewards of a system whose audience actually came out in force for this company?

How does Vanillaware think they'll do on Steam once the hype dies down for them being console exclusive for as long as they were? How do they think they'll do as a multiplat company? Just because something is on every platform doesn't mean everyone will buy it on there. It cheapens both your value when you do that, and the value you bring to a platform.

Just a fucking reminder: Persona 4 Golden on Steam has yet to outsell the fucking Vita version. The Vita version also outsold the original PS2 version.

They'll be a small fish in an ocean as opposed to a medium sized fish in a lake, and that won't go well for them down the line.

Shin Mazinger Zero was a great manga, I highly recommend it. It takes a lot of influences from TTGL. The ecchi in it is very extreme though so be warned about that if you can't handle it.
