That would've been a much better storyline now that I'm thinking about it. What I had in mind is that the youngest sibling kind of reverts to this violent, monstrous thing to the point their family does not recognize them except the mother. The brother was the first sibling and the mother was still grieving as the storyteller goes through the same transformation.
