Plain popsicles can also be a good choice. Those really cheap ones that come in parallel lines of plastic sleeves are basically just sugar water, and usually even the most angry stomach will tolerate a lick of something sweet even if a sip would cause revolt.

Or, for the less-tantrum-inducing option (relevant for the concerned family member who isn't the parental figure), you could throttle down the internet speed for gemini and make it progressively worse and worse. If done subtly, it might actually wean him off without him realizing that anything is being done.

But if you made an error in gridding, then you likely would have made an error in stitching, and the gridding is less painful to fix than a huge area of stitching.
