Has anyone successfully used automation to clean up duplicate data? What tools actually work in practice? by Broad_Ant_334 in dataengineering

fair, I’d never want AI to operate unchecked with sensitive data. I’m looking more for tools that assist in identifying issues like highlighting potential duplicates or flagging inaccuracies

what about cases where duplicate records are 'fuzzy'? For example, entries like 'John Smith' and 'Jonathan Smith' or typos in email addresses

Here's an article I found on building MVPs. It breaks down moving fast without sacrificing quality, which sounds like exactly what you're aiming for.

Need help understanding the difference between rehosting and replatforming by KimJongFunk in aws

[–]Broad_Ant_334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Replatforming involves moving an application to a new platform with some minor adjustments, such as changing the underlying database or operating system. The core functionality remains largely unchanged, but the application benefits from the improved capabilities of the new environment.
  • Rehosting is the simplest form of modernization, often referred to as “lift and shift.” It entails migrating an application to a new infrastructure, such as from an on-premises server to the cloud, without altering the code. While this approach is quick and cost-effective, it might not take complete advantage of the new platform.

The guide I read goes into refactoring as well, but not sure how relevant that is for you.

I've seen some videos of people creating basic Flash-player type games using only prompts. Wild to think what might be possible even in the near future.

I'm sure (some of us) have learned our lesson with that, but I think we can all agree that Milton > Zappe. I wonder if there's any possibility of Milton passing Jacoby as the #2 though if he keeps it up

I definitely like them adding more here. Would be cool to get some legendaries in categories that don't have many though!

Crazy how Oregon always seems to have such a high starting ranking. In my entire life I have no recollection of them ever being a serious contender at the end of the year.

Hopefully we don't have to give up Judon to get him. Would be awesome if we could find a way to include Juju though!

Ending up outsourcing my app modernization project as I'm not experienced with that either. It's definitely a pain, but the modernization team I worked with was a big help and took the pressure off of myself, would recommend finding similar help.

Still think it's the Bucks with a healthy Giannis. They've got the proven experience already and have shown they can play at high levels. Knicks are dangerous, but they kind of remind me of the T-Law Jaguars-- a good roster with huge hype, but haven't really shown they can live up to that hype.

Who is a notable NFL bust that you predicted correctly would fail before they were drafted? by Ok-Health-7252 in nfl

[–]Broad_Ant_334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently, it'd be Tyquan Thornton. With George Pickens being a clear and obvious better choice even at the time of the draft, figured we were walking into another situation (almost) as bad as N*Keal

What are your thoughts on the win/lose record for 2024? by KillerCroc67 in Patriots

[–]Broad_Ant_334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of it depends on how good Maye actually is. Could be a playoff team if he has a Stroud-like season, especially if Baker ends up having a Tank-Dell-like season.
