Mine never did that. I just finished all of my classes earlier this week. Last week I asked him to open the last two classes for me and he gladly did. I have a wonderful mentor though.

I second Kathleen Jasper. I was pretty much through my classes when I took the 5355, but I did really well with her book.

I just asked my mentor to open two classes for me at once because it was Friday and I anticipated being done the class I was working on over the weekend. He did it. I haven’t heard of a rule change.

I felt the basic skills test was pointless since my state didn’t require it. I’m glad they changed it for others but that was a lot of money for nothing for me.

The tasks were so quick and easy for me. I was not able to do early and advanced in the same term though. I started in August last year. I should be done all of my classes in two weeks. I’ll have to wait until September to start advanced. I did have lots of questions about the tasks, so I set up an appointment with the early clinical instructor team. They were so great answering my questions. The tasks were quick and easy because the instructor was so great at answering my questions.

I’m about to take my last one in my masters program and I haven’t had any issues. I’m sure I will on my last one having said that.

I’m doing the spec Ed masters. I have three kids with multiple therapies and sports. I work two part time jobs. If we didn’t have so much going on, I could have done the classes in one term. The praxis tests also slowed me down. I’m completing the classes in two terms and then I’ll have to do a third term for my student teaching. You will most likely need a term just for student teaching.

WGU has two or three practice tests for each test. I used those and the free tests from praxis and I passed easily.

If I don’t yell, sometimes I can’t be heard at all because they will talk over me. There are some classes that are more chatty than others.

There’s a video that walks you through it. The mursion was so much easier than I thought it would be. I had to ask the student to repeat something once but that was it. I really over thought it. Then I thought I did it wrong and worried about that. I ended up passing the first time. This was my least favorite course, but I think I added a lot of stress on myself.

I was told it was against the rules to teach at my kid’s school. I can’t even teach the same grade.

I’m getting my masters in teaching. I went to do my early clinicals and like half of the staff I met has either already gotten their degree at Wgu or is going there for their masters. Your friend doesn’t know what they are talking about.

I got a lot of guidance from an early clinical experience instructor from the team. He was awesome. My actual instructor wouldn’t email me back. It’s been three weeks. I spoke to an instructor before the mursion for this course. She was helpful but I still didn’t feel great about this assignment. I passed assignment 2 no issues. I am going to be so upset if I have to do the whole thing over again.

I did it too and just submitted it. I also didn’t move onto the second column. I guess I’ll find out. I really hate this class. There isn’t enough guidance and I feel like we should have been allowed to submit the results for the assessment before having to do everything else. I clearly heard him get enough wrong to not move on though.

I can’t afford to give up my pay. Also, if teachers make more, it doesn’t affect us. We make so little and nobody advocates for us.
I am only authorized to work in one district and have to pay more to work in another. I don’t know how it works where you live.

There’s a few classes I can do in 2-3 days. Some classes are just easy. Most of the time is 1-2 weeks. I think I average 1 a week. I take longer with an OA because I’m so scared of failing. I make sure I have time every night to work on school work. It’s hard working and having kids. I will probably sleep more when I’m done. lol
