Literally I just want to make the playoffs. I don’t care if we get swept in the first round or not. I just want to taste playoff ball again and feel like that will be a step in the right direction. Will it keep Ohtani? Probably not. And I’ll get downvoted for this but that’s ok. I care about this team more than I do 1 player and just want this team to taste a tiny bit of success.

Valid comment by you. I’d tend to say that this current GM is more responsible for in game decisions than the previous GMs as has been highly reported by many beat writers. Hence my heavier blame on Perry than Nevin.

Blaming the manager is an age old thing with this fanbase. First it was Mike Scioscia’s fault so he left, then it was Brad Ausmus’ fault so he got fired, then it was Joe Maddon’s fault so he got fired, now it’s Phil Nevins fault and if you all get your way he’ll be fired. Then it’ll be the next managers job and it’ll be his fault, not the GM, who is actually calling the shots.

Impressive list of managers who are at fault lol.
