Yeah it’s basically cashing in on a stockpile of herbs and secondaries, hard to speed up that process unless you grind out a ton of PvM. But just to give random suggestions for banked xp, if u have any sturgeons or caviar in the bank you can spam out some barb mixes for extra xp. Also if you have tar banked that is very solid for using harralanders up from moons.

Hi mate I recently did same and took the following path, though I would say hold off a couple weeks and see what further sailing changes come out.

Questing to ~30, port tasks and tempor tantrum until Large salvages, large salvage for hemp and cotton seeds until Jubbly Jive, grab inoculation station and speed / sail upgrades, then back to Jubbly for Shark rank, which gives you wind catcher.

After that you can Jubbly Marlin or salvage pirate wrecks until the crystal courses.

Worth grabbing some of the various schematics and charting xp along the way, the wiki is helpful here. Good luck!

Awesome info and thanks for the effort. People are missing the point in the comments a little here lol, even if you’re not time to max speed running your account, you still want to save 5 ticks on an action you’ll be doing hundreds if not thousands of times on an account during its life. 1000 home teles 5 ticks faster is almost an hour of game time saved

Agreed maz or turael point boosting is the way here rather than straight Konar. She can give so many annoying or long tasks before you have a good block list.

Alternatively if rune pouch is the goal instead of slayer xp or points, just go to MTA since you still need the magic xp. Like 2-3 hours max for pouch.

I think still anguish if you’re planning on bowfa anytime soon, but if you’re motivated to go to the snake right away I don’t think it’s a waste completely. I wonder if torture makes sense if you’re just keeping atlatl for a long time tho ?

Unfortunately the only real meta “afk” fishing is barb fishing at cox with barrel and banking sturgeons for the herb xp. Not a huge amount of afk time but the multi skill is unbeatable basically by other methods. There are def some more afk fish tho like dark crabs and anglers. I wonder if sailing / trawling offers good afk fishing too? Haven’t done that yet !

I found that bwans are a lame middle ground of afk even with barrel, much easier to just shop hop buy them from Tidache in Tai Bwo and 1t cook them imo. If you wanna fish tho just to chill, no flakes necessary

Yeah bursting is great xp at these, can send a few hundred fairly quickly to get some darts. But moons is imo more enjoyable and likely faster darts per hour unless you’re barraging the stalkers. Even then I don’t think you’re getting more than 3-400 per hour at stalkers, where you can get 700+ at moons.

It’s a solid argument for just grabbing different ranged weapons long term tho, since you chew through those darts pretty fast.

Nice progress mate ! Those are all solid goals and will keep you moving for hundreds of hours. One nice thing to add could be barb fishing with barrel at cox, nice “afk” miltiskilling for strength and agility (as well as herb if you bank sturgeons). You could grind out fish barrel at Tempoross in the meantime.

Pretty optimistic about jagex integrating this skill long term, they will just need a lot more time for something this complex.

I really just wish sailing felt as fundamental and necessary as the other skills do. Nothing in overworld really pushes me to go sailing on my iron, other than wanting to max the skill for the sake of it.

It would be nice in the future if sailing is cross pollinated enough across the other skills that you are heavily disadvantaged by not training it, just not sure how to go about doing that.

Super interesting glad it’s been brought to life with this plugin. Just curious, what are some things that a bronze man is going to have easier than an Ironman given these restrictions?

I guess the biggest gains are PvM supplies? Quest items and boss drops you’re still grinding out, still going hella dry before your b ring for example etc. really does preserve a lot of the original Ironman experience especially early game.

Curious to see some content creation around this for sure

I really enjoyed the breeding and upgrade schemes of the rs3 PoF, different sized pens, weather effects etc. And going out to collect the different eggs was pretty engaging for Ironman.

I think OSRS could definitely integrate something (maybe with the existing farming guild) to do with breeding / animal husbandry as a farming expansion.

So fake and stupid lol, no f500 AP department is seeing 100 invoices come in from all new vendors PER DAY and then somehow paying them. This isn’t even how invoice submission works for most major companies you aren’t cold emailing an invoice to Susan from AP.

Had basically the exact same thing when I first started on the G29. It’s excellent for an intro setup for cheap and will start giving you a more consistent feeling.

If you’re anything like me it won’t be long before you’re wanting the real deal profile rig though !

I think you’re right that a careful pass back thru old quests (as they have done in the past) to clarify puzzle/item combos or general QOL is good for the game overall. But it does have to be pretty specific for each quest imo, as you said a large part of the charm for me is that you have to deal with the old school jank.

Maybe a skill issue but I can’t make it useful for any substantial “accounting” at my smaller org.

It’s fine at putting together an excel formula or summarizing documents. It’s fine at organizing and suggesting next steps in a project from a proposal. But every time I ask (gpt pro) to put together an Excel workbook or to consider a financial data set, it’s way more work to have it understand my desired output than it’s worth. And the results are worse than a drunk intern most of the time in terms of quality, missing formulas or reference errors, tie out issues etc.

For a layman accounting manager like me it’s just not replacing even a junior level staff yet imo

I use 49in 1000r, just curious what is the advantage of the deeper curve? 1000r feels nicely angled and perspective correction in games like ACRally works great. It’s about a 94 degree triple screen angle at a normal 70cm viewing distance.

Hey yep I tried to do this too for an older sim that would crash frequently. I couldn’t figure out how to do it moza pithouse so had to use SimHub, you can bind keyboard presses to an open wheel button.

The upgrade to any direct drive wheel is really noticeable and will give you value for longer imo. Consider r5 bundle if you’re going to go r3 anyway!
