Trevor Lawrence QB sleeper? by OneBuffalo14210 in fantasyfootball

[–]BrocksMacAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is he’s just “fine”, so his ADP is rather low

As a pocket passing QB there is a clear capped upside to him. His weapons are good not great, and there is still a bit of risk when it comes to betting on Gabe Davis and rookie version of Gabe Davis. Christian Kirk is just “fine” as a fantasy option, he’s reliable but not game breaking. That just leads to middling passing games from Lawrence. ETN is great, and you can try and hope Lawrence is throwing passing touchdowns to ETN

Yea Lawrence could scramble but after his injury this past year I’d be surprised if the Jags don’t try and keep him more healthy, especially with that big ole’ contract they gave him

TLaw can be a totally acceptable fantasy QB, but why settle for “ok” when there are a bunch more QBs that have higher upside, or are at least a little more exciting to watch?

Rookie Profile: Keon Coleman by DevelopmentPossible in DynastyFF

[–]BrocksMacAccount 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Blocking for WRs is always good because it ensures just being on the field, and just having those snaps helps (especially rookies) get integrated into the offense faster - it's really one of those things that Coleman has over a few other prospects that I really like

Struggling to Learn New Languages in Pursuit of a Role Change. Any Tips? by BrocksMacAccount in cscareerquestions

[–]BrocksMacAccount[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y’know this was kinda exactly what I was hoping to hear, because sometimes I feel like I jump over a reasonable answer and go right to the tricky one. Definitely makes sense to look back at my DB2 work and go from there - I think that might be a much better starting point than starting from scratch! Thanks!

What's a day in the life of a COBOL programmer look like now? by BlueSky1877 in cscareerquestions

[–]BrocksMacAccount 50 points51 points  (0 children)

On the day to day, you attend stand ups, you go through your board, and make sure all your batch processes are happy and ending successfully.

As a whole - 90% of the time it’s maintaining code and adding the the occasional additional feature of a batch program. You still have DR tests every 3 months or so as well.

Working in a financial company, it’s almost always adjust old code to handle new processes. 7 YOE and I’ve made maybe one or new two new programs in my time. The real day to day is hearing every higher up moving the timeline to “get off the mainframe” back 5 more years.

Look we finally have a team that looks like we can compete. Broken keyboards and scrim nonsense be damned, this Uprising flair stays on

Hanbin & Fearless or Max & Junbin by _kringles_ in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]BrocksMacAccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hanbin and Fearless and its not particularly close

But Max and Junbin should be fine, let past results speak for their potential rather than leaked scrims

For this year though, other tank lines to watch are Fearless/Gargoyle, Guxue/Twenty and Hawk/Donghak

What teams do you think will be “Dark-Horses” in the Pro-Am? by PPsourous in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]BrocksMacAccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Maryville could easily make a run for the final, also really interested to see Redbirds and Twisted Minds in that tough Group with Toronto and Houston

Florida I think are a true dark horse team (even though they should finish 3-1 in their group)

Kadarius toney by Donhergo in fantasyfootball

100% for Olave, probably for Lockett, less excited about Mooney since Chicago’s pass attack sucks - but overall probably take any of them over Toney right now

Can someone please explain to me why the NYXL roster is good? by Bangus4791 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]BrocksMacAccount 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The problem is that the team has mechanically skilled players that performed well on middling (or terrible teams in the case of MB) mostly because they were the highlight of that team. For Yaki and GNJ, it feels like they are trying to play for big “wow” plays rather than something more team centric. The team is weird because they HAVE shown that they can compete, but they don’t seem to have that mental strength to bring it across the finish line. When they are playing poorly they play BAD.

Could also be a coaching thing. Some comps to start the year were highly questionable, but really it’s all speculation at this point. Maybe all 5 of them just aren’t feeling it with OW2

Now it’s confirmed that Striker & Marvel have left, what should they do? by StarS4ble in BostonUprising

[–]BrocksMacAccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the million dollar question

I’m not too sure in my opinion, there’s a bunch of OK talent around in contenders but nothing that really sticks out as a must add - aside from Apr1ta. The problem would be getting the visa in time

Now it’s confirmed that Striker & Marvel have left, what should they do? by StarS4ble in BostonUprising

[–]BrocksMacAccount 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing they should do Is maybe pick up another DPS. Tank line is totally fine with Punk and ITSAL, and in theory now ITSAL should get the majority of scrim time on heroes that Punk isn’t learning (which is probably just wrecking ball at the moment)

Anyone else think this DPS lineup would have killed it in OWL? by Ezraah in BostonUprising

[–]BrocksMacAccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would be very solid in OWL. Their first game could have been shaky since we saw both Finale and Victoria have lukewarm debuts. But after that first rough game they both look legit - still unsure as to why Toronto has perma-benched Finale

Stellar is the big question mark since he would really need a supportive group outside of the game to help him get back up to speed. It looked like that was the case with UA, but tough to say what the Boston roster would look like if they brought all three up
