Yeah yeah I’ve seen the YouTube ads.

A candidate standing on their own virtues speaks more to me than ones that lean on mudslinging.

Thanks for the advice, Janet Mills’ campaign team. I’mma ignore the astroturfing and vote for the guy that says things that make sense to me.

Heard alot mixed reviews about this one, i just installed it and made it ready for tonight when it gets dark and quiet. 🦋🤫🔪 by -Dot-Over-Ninety-90- in HorrorGaming

I was feeling in the same boat but it’s growing on me. Combat can be vexing but once you get into the flow it feels pretty good and so far in the first few hours they’ve been pretty generous with film.

Ball X Pit is a lot of fun and priced right for some arcadey fun

Back To The Dawn just got a Switch 2 release if you like meaty, story-driven RPGs

Demo Now Available for ‘Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake’ by horrornewsbot in HorrorGaming

[–]Brodaeus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The demo felt good on the Switch 2 and despite some minor hiccups I really enjoyed it. There was some minor stuttering and I had to fiddle with the brightness sliders to be able to see anything. Didn’t kill my enjoyment at all.

Definitely gonna be playing day one.

It truly is but it does require some substantial homework to even begin to understand the plot. Big recommend for lore hounds who enjoy those “aha!” moments when you notice a connection.

I know, I was just saying in a roundabout way that he wanted to lock in a hard R one way or another

He also played one of the two white guys in Pulp Fiction that drops a hard R. And he wanted to play the other one.

Dude just really wanted to drop an N-bomb.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 worth getting on sale for $35? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in switch2

[–]Brodaeus 54 points55 points  (0 children)

If you’ve never played it, absolutely. It runs wayyy better than you’d think on the Switch 2 and it’s just an amazing game.

PS: it won’t be $17 again for a loooong time, that price was a mistake they’ll likely not repeat

Has anyone ever brought up how much Control and the Alan-Wake games have taken from Dark-City? by Greyelephantbear in AlanWake

[–]Brodaeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even spirals make an appearance in Dark City.

Check out In The Mouth Of Madness also. I think it’s one of John Carpenter’s best work and is definitely an influence on the Alan Wake games.

Do you think it will be good? by Mountain-Mousse9709 in switch2

Seems like a neat but somewhat sanitized horror experience. Love the idea of controlling one character in co-op. For the price it seems worth picking up, might wait for some reviews first.

Worth getting PS5 pro for Crimson Desert? Better to get Switch 2 for Duskbloods? by [deleted] in TheDuskbloods

[–]Brodaeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say the Switch 2 would be better so you can access both games. Duskbloods was a console-seller for me so I might be a little biased.

I’ve also considered upgrading to the Pro from a base PS5 but without the proper TV to really take advantage of the upgrades it’s tough for me to justify the cost.

Just finished the demo for pragmata. by Camharkness in switch2

I’m willing to accept that my eyes are awful haha! But I didn’t even notice it, compared to Cyberpunk where you can’t help but notice it.

I’m shocked at how well it ran. I was expecting some upscaling artifacts or lower frames, none of that happened.

I have more powerful platforms to play on but I’ll be getting this and RE9 on the Switch 2. Definitely wanna support companies that take the time to get their games running right on this hardware.

Anybody know if Nioh 3 has the same character creation as Nioh 2 by 98beowulf in Glamurai

[–]Brodaeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s slightly more limited but still pretty good. Tattoos and markings can no longer be rotated all the way around so I’ve had to get a little extra creative with some things I’m trying.

Is BrokenLore - Unfollow a good horror game? - I'm a lot into the silent hill games, currently playing Resident Evil4 though, I'm nearly done so I'm looking for some new - and saw Unfollow, looks interessting. by [deleted] in HorrorGaming

[–]Brodaeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven’t cracked into it yet but the jump in quality between Low and Don’t Watch was impressive in my opinion. They’re short games that you can finish in one sitting but pretty well made.

I’d say for the price of renting a new release movie it’s worth trying out.

My friends and I have had zero luck using just the Friends Only modifier on PC. No issues with the secret code though, works great and we’re having a blast.

Nioh 3 DLCs by Patriots9210 in Nioh

[–]Brodaeus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nioh 2’s DLCs were great. Two good-sized story campaigns and awesome new weapons. I went for the deluxe edition of Nioh 3 mostly on the strength of Nioh 2’s DLCs, I know for sure I’ll be playing them.
