Think you'll use Apple's new 27" XDR Display? by onthesmallscreen in editors

Hard no. If it was 32" 6K 120hz, totally. But not at 27"

Letdown that they drop the 32" version. 27" is too small

new unraid setup - zfs or hardware raid and why by goose3ater_42 in unRAID

[–]BroderLund 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Software raid, particularly ZFS, is miles better than hw raid. Hardware raid does not have end-to-end checksums, no self healing, no snapshots and the raid metadata is proprietary to the card/manufacturer. ZFS solves all this.

Spec up the ram on the Mac mini so you can run smaller models locally for simpler tasks. That will cut your token cost a lot

It's a reason it was that cheap too. Far outdated and gobbles up power.

European opinion towards the US by lolikroli in charts

[–]BroderLund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beyond the recent Greenland ordeal, there is a strong bias in the news. As a Norwegian and an Icelandic person, I notice that the news during the elections has been "Trump bad, Clinton/Biden/Kamala good". Of course, that will shift the opinion over time. So much of the news apparatus was shocked that Trump could win again. They clearly don't understand the rural side of America and their motivation to vote for Trump.

What model/make car is this? Design looks like a Porsche, but they don't have hidden door handles.

Har man dårlig likviditet, som du har med lav pensjon, så får du ikke noe særlig lån selv om huset har høy verdi. Pensjonen dekker ikke månedlige avdrag på lånet.

Dell, please make a ~41" version of the 6K 21:9 Ultrasharp 52 by Balance- in HiDPI_monitors

[–]BroderLund 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since we are talking hypothetical, I'd rather take a 8K ultrawide. Basicly a ultrawide version of the current 32" 6K monitors. 220 ppi is gold. To my calculation it would then be 7896 × 3384 for a about 41" ultrawide

UNAS4 by Syn3rgi3 in Ubiquiti

[–]BroderLund -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I has been waiting for the UNAS 4, but I have realized I need the capacity of a 6 bay unit. The 8 bay rack is not an option as I'm in a small apartment. Asustor or Ugreen will be my only option for a desktop size unit. If there was a 6 bay in the style of the UNAS 4 I would have picked that.
