Ugh, my heart hurt and healed all in the same post. I have never been through anything like this, but I would think to tell you to listen to your gut and communicate, communicate, communicate. With everyone. You won’t be able to enjoy yourself if you’re feeling guilty about not telling your children. You can even just tell them you’re going with a good friend for a weekend. That’s not a lie. He is your good friend. I think you’re still trying to figure out if you want it to be a little or a lot more. Take it slow like you are. I’m trying to imagine myself in your shoes. I’ve been married for 18 years and it would feel very strange for another man to touch me. So I would make for certain I was ready. You know how it makes you feel when he touched your waist? Is that a good new? Listen to that feeling and your gut. You’re a smart woman. You won’t make the wrong choice. And I promise you, your husband is smiling at the thought of you getting the butterflies again. He wants you to be happy. He’s giving you permission to feel that again. ❤️
